Duke PTA Plans Oudoor Court At the April meeting of the Duke Center Parent -Teacher Association held at the elementary school Monday plans were made to equip an outdoor basketball. court for the use of the boys of Duke Center. Mohn, "Romance Sans Paroles" and the intermezzo from "Cavalleria Rusticana." A mixed quartet, composed of Mrs. Harry Sue, Mrs. John Sue, Clarence Hokenson and Henry Decker, sand "The Lord Make Us Strong," and "Fireflies." A moving picture, entitled "Assignment Tomorrow" was shown. This picture, produced by the N.E.A., showed the work of the schools in all parts of the country and made a plea for equality of educational opportunities everywhere in the United States. who sang "Songs That My Mother Taught me," concluded the program. Cpl. Williams, Rew, Discharged From Army Rew-Cpl. Albert F. Williams has been honorably discharged from the United States Army after spending three years in the service, 15 months of which were spent in the ETO.

He 13 the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Williams who reside at Wolf Run. Cpl. Williams is spending a visit with his parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Williams are the parents of two other sons, who have seen service in the armed forces. James Williams of Olean was discharged from the Army last fall after extensive duty in the CBI. Another son, Robert L.

Williams, is still in the service stationed at Fort MacArthur, San Pedro, Calif. Local Briefs Mrs. Anna L. Phillips and Lillian Pinknery have returned home after visiting in St. Petersburg and Miami.

Fla. Mr. and Mrs. E. DeWitt Foster, Foster Brook, have received word that their son, Richard J.

Foster, PM has arrived in New York City aboard the USS Vulcan. He will receive his discharge from Bainbridge, Md. He was in service 33 months and spent 24 months overseas in Leyte, Iwo Jima, Luzon, Okinawa and Japan. Mrs. Samuel Black and Mr.

Pfarr, organizer and first president of the Allegheny County Fire Chiefs' Association and for 31 years the county's fire marshall, died of a heart attack yesterday at the age of 77. Funeral rites will be held Saturday. In 1914 Pfarr originated the custom of tolling 1-8-4-5 each April 10 on the old city hall bell to commemorate the anniversary of Pittaburgh's worst fire.

During the business meeting. conducted by Mrs. Arthur Atwood, it was announced that a demonstration of the unit's work for the past vear will be held May 8 from 2 p. m. to 4 p.

Mrs. Mildred Campbell and Mrs. Betty Fuller will be in charge. The last community dance of the season will be held April 20 at St. Patrick's auditorium.

Dances have been postponed until Sept. 7. There will be no meeting of the bureau next Tuesday. Alpha Zeta Fraternity Sets Next Meet May 5 The weekly meeting of the Alpha Zeta fraternity was held Sunday afternoon at the home of John Hipchen, 199 High St. The business meeting was conducted by Don Wright, president.
