Injunction Denied In Church Dispute Rond Refuses To Restrain Accused Greek Priest Chancellor Charles Rond yesterday refused to issue an injunction in a controversy between the former and present priests of the Greek Orthodox Church of The Annunciation at 573 Highland.

The injunction was denied Father Theodore S. Kyritsis, who identified himself as pastor of St. George's Greek Orthodox Church of the Old Calendar Belief at 875 Blythe. He asked that the court order Father Nicholas L. Vieron, his successor as pastor of the Annunciation Church, to stop circutating a letter stating Father Kyritsis had been defrocked as a clergyman of the Greek Orthodox Church.

The letter stated the defrocking occurred Feb. 27, by order of Archbishop Iakovos the Greek Orthodox Diocese of North and South America. Father Kyritsis' petition to the court said he was appointed Jan. 30, 1962, into the Exarchate as a priest of the Russian Orthodox Church in America and the old Greek Orthodox Church of North America by Bishop Astyfedes. This was a month before the defrocking.

Father Kyritsis charged the defrocking letter was to have been read only to communicants of The Annunciation Church, but that Father Vieron disclosed the letter to pastors of other denominations and the public. Father Kyritsis claimed Father Vieron's action had defamed and libeled him. Father Vieron in his answer to Father Kyritsis' petition denied he has "at any time done anything relating to the complainant except when the complainant (Father Kyritsis) has caused himself to be publicized as a clergyman of the Greek Orthodox Church, which he is not." Chancellor Rond asked the attorneys, R. L. Pearson and Charles O'Brien for Father Kyritsis, and Jerre Duzane for Father Vieron, questions as to issues in the suit.

He then denied the injunction. Date for a final hearing in the lawsuit will be set later. MRS. ALICE CRUMP Services Scheduled Today For Resident, 76 Services for Mrs. Alice A.

Death Of Woman Remains Unsolved Autopsy Report Is Negative; Companion Still Held Special to The Commercial Appeal WINONA, June 17. Cause of death of a woman whose body was found in the trunk of a car driven by a Webster County, farmer had not been determined Monday.

Cecil Peppers, about 45, arrested Saturday night in Stewart, east of here with the body of Mrs. Frankie Hitt Morgan, 43, of Eupora, in the trunk of his automobile, was still being held in jail here for questioning. Webster County Atty. W. D.

Gary said Monday he had received an oral report on an autopsy performed in Tupelo "and it was negative. "By that I mean they didn't find anything that caused the death." Meanwhile, Webster County Sheriff S. R. 'Spud' Washam said investigators had learned in Peppers his car for two days, inhad hauled the body stead of three days as Pepper had told them earlier. Earlier, Sheriff Washam had quoted Peppers as saying Mrs.

Morgan "just laid down and died" on the back seat of his car last Wednesday night while they were riding around drinking. "But we've found some people who saw her and him Thursday morning at a spring about eight miles from Stewart and we've determined she died Thursday night at Stewart," the sheriff said Monday. "They said both Peppers and the woman were bad drunk." "I think she just died a natural death."
