While the camera cut from Janet Leigh's face to her stomach to the hacking knife held by the unknown figure on the other side of the shower curtain viewers felt the horror with each cut And because the editing was so adept the camera never really lingered on any one aspect of the killing The film can boast other distinctions: It was Hitchcockk only horror movie and his biggest moneymaker and it is the only film in history to be remade scene-by-scene The new 1998 is said to differ from the original black and white film only by being in color and by using of course different actors It reaches US theaters today Universal Pictures has refused to allow reviewers and movie writers into early screenings of the movie so the reviews in yet But the venture has already been knocked by critics as
