Thetis Ann King Is Named Beauty In TWU Yearbook DENTON Miss Thetis Ann King, education major from Paris, was announced as junior class beauty of Texas Woman's University in the annual yearbook assembly. Each beauty had a full page picture in the Daedalian, TWU yearbook, which is now be i distributed. Other beauties are Carolyn Knudson, nursing major from Carlsbad, sophomore class; Monna Williams, dress design major from Sherman, freshman class; and Margaret Dyer, recreational therapy major from Denver City, senior class. Editor of the yearbook is Nancy Brittan, graduate of Paris High School, and Marsha Pyle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Eugene Pyle, 738 W. Cherry, is a member of the staff. Miss King is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.

THI PARIS NEWS, TUESDAY, MAY 13, 1958 Parisians Attend FBI Conference Businessmen, lawmen and others in the Paris area who might be interested are invited to a t- tend an FBI conference on the interstate transportation of stolen property Wednesday, May 14, in Mt.

Pleasant. Two Paris men, President Bob McWhirter of First National Bank and Police Chief H. R. Marks, will be members of the panel for the all-day conference. Also attending will be Resident Agent Guv Leonard of the FBI, stationed in Paris.

The conference is open to all persons who are interested. It is one of several being held across the state. The session begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the City Hall in Mt. Pleasant.

Paris Firemen Answer Two Calls Two general alarms brought Paris firemen out Sunday, and one caused heavy damage to a residence on 3rd NE. The residential blaze was at the home of Lennie Mae Jones, 1120- 3rd NE. Firemen said the cause of the fire, which caused heavy damage to the four-room structure at 12:20 a.m. Sunday was not determined. At mid-afternoon Sunday, trash in a barbecue pit caught fire at the Red Front Domino Parler and caused a brief scare.

Damage was slight. Pie Supper Planned By Lone Star P-TA The Lone Star Parent-Teachers Association planned a pie supper at its meeting Thursday afternoon. The group met at the school. The pie supper will be held Friday May 16, at 8 p.m. The benefits will be used for improvement of the lunchroom.

A party for the seventh and eighth grade students was planned for the night of May 23. Following the business meeting the members spent the afternoon quilting.
