exhibition with a score of 96 8-4 Mr Dankleff of Mt Olive is a close second with a score of 96 1-2 In the White Wyandotte class Wiegmann of Nashville is showing a pullet that scored 96 1-2 John Pedigo of Pinrkneyvllle is exhibiting a single comb Rhode Island pullet that scores 96 In the Burred Rock class hen entered by Phillip Walgand scored 93 1-3 The single comb White leghorn class is hesded by a participation In the race riots in East St I-ouis of July 2 last by a Jury In the Circuit Court In a verdict returned to Presiding Judge George Crow at noon Thursday In the same verdict one man was acquitted Mike Evanhoff Ed Otto and Daniel Walsh each charged with conspiracy were fined $500 each John Rogers charged with a like offense was found not guilty The state had declared these defendants had helped conspire against the negroes and that they had been actively engaaed in some of the assaults that had been made on tho blacks The Jury announced that It was realy to report at 10 Thursday morning and the defendants three of whom were out on bond were called They failed to make an appearance and when their bondsmen likewise failed to appear a citation was issued for the arrest of two of them and their bonds of $2000 each were declared forfeited Ed Otto and John Rogers were In the court room when the verdict was read Later in the day Evanhoff and Walsh were arrested and remanded to According to her sister the young woman who Is 23 years old was moody ail of Thursday morning and several times was seen rrylng Shortly after 11 o'clock she went to her room and few minutes tLter her sister heard her and moaning She hurried to the room and found the young woman lying on her bed with an empty vial on the floor nearby She summoned a physician who ad-ihinlstered sn antidote and then
