Clayton Hackman Married at Moore Field, Tex.

Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Frances Harriet White, daughter of Dr. Benjamin Franklin White, 65 Congress street, Bradford, and Lieut. Clayton P. Hackman, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Clayton P. Legion Auxiliary Members Attend Kane Meet Tomorrow Several members of the Bradford American Legion auxiliary will attend the inter-county cou-cil meeting to be held tomorrow in Kane. Dinner will be served at noon in the First Methodist church. Five counties will be represented at the meeting. Mrs.

Harrison Smith, state auxiliary president, Mrs. R. A. Russell of Bradford, state vice president, and Mrs. Flora Miller, state welfare chairman, will be among dignitaries attending the meeting.

Among those from Bradford will be Mrs. W. J. Dunn, president of the local unit, Mrs. P.

J. Denman, Mrs. P. G. Baker, Mrs.

A. A. Mul-doon, Mrs. J. Perry Johnson.

Mrs. Ellsworth Cloud and Mrs. Grace Wells. Miss Grace Mitchell Weds Fred Barnhart Miss Grace Mitchell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Jules Mitchell of Mt. Jewett and Fred Barnhart of Mt. Jewett were united in marriage Saturday evening at 8 o'clock at the home of the Rev. R. A.

Thompson of Hazel Hurst, according to announcement. The Rev. Mr. Thompson performed the ceremony. The couple left immediately after the ceremony on a brief wedding trip.

The bride has been employed in the office of Dr. L. R. Cupp of Mt. Jewett.

The bridegroom is employed by the Forest Oil company of Bradford. and was graduated from Penn State college with the class of 1041. He is a member of Alpha Zeta fraternity, having served as vice president of Morrill chapter during his senior year in college. He is president of the Penn State chapter of Block and Bridle, the national organization of college animal husbandry students, and is master of the Penn State Grange. Lieut.

Hackman entered the air corps September 29. 1941, and received his primary training at the Missouri Institute of Aeronautics and his basic training at the Enid Flying school in Enid. Ok la. He received advanced training at Moore Field and on April 29, the day before his wedding received his commission as second Miss Ruth Bierfeldt of Bradford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

F. J. Bierfeldt of Salamanca and William M. Taylor, son of the late Mr. and Mrs.

H. E. Taylor of Bradford, will De united in marriage tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Methodist church in Salamanca. Mr. Bierfeldt will give his daughter in marriage.

The bride-elect's fiister, Miss Gene Bierfeldt of Salamanca, will be maid of honor Best man will be Howard Taylor of this city, brother of the bridegroom -elect. Following the ceremony a reception will be held at the home of the bride's parents. The couple will reside in Bradford avenue, this city, following a brief wedding trip. Both MLss Bierfeltd and Mr. Taylor are well known here.

She is a graduate of the Salamanca High school, class of 1940, and is employed by the A. J. Olsen company here. He finished school at Bradford Senior High in 1937 and is employed by the United Natural Gas company in this city. Happy Gang Club Feted Members of the Happy Gang club were entertained by Miss Jean Woodrum at her home In Hobson place last evening.

Five hundred was played and prizes were presented to Mrs. Anna McGraw and Mrs. Blanche Burns. Mrs. McGraw will be the next hostess.

She is a member of the Bradford branch of the American Association of University Women and of the Women's Literary club of this city.
