It was the happy privilege of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Mim.8 to have had kinsman, the Rev.

Dr. J. Q. Adams, of Charlotte, and his nephews, Dr. Manly Tiramons.

Messrs. Beauregard and Richard Timraone and their good wives at tea on Monday evening. The occasion served in part as a delightful reunion of a portion of the once large and exceedingly happy Timraons family. The coming together of these kinsmen, breaking bread and freely and unreservedly arouud the festive hoard as was their wont when they were boys, naturally inspired a reminiscent mood. Many a childhood scene wa6 portrayed and mauy an incident related that transpired in their halcyon days, when they as barefooted boys trod tho old hills of Turkey Creek.

Mr. John C. Lott, a local agent, had a number of policies written in this company. The occasion was quietly though beautifully and appropriately celebrated by a family reuuion at their ideal country home where they have resided since their marriage. lu wavs too numerous to mention Heaven has blessed tuis happy God-fearing, God-serving couple, but tbe greatest blessing has been their children, two sons aud six daughters, jail of whom reflect with honor and tho lives and teachings of their worthy parents. The children are Dr. W.

Barling, Mrs. J. M. Shaffer, Mrs. T.

Asbill and Miss Flora Ouzts, all of whom were prebent except Mrs. Asbill, who resides in Louisville, Ky, Nearly all of their twenty-eight grand-children were also present. The day was spent largely, but not altogether, in delightful social intercourse, for the good wife, mother and grand-mother had prepared a bountiful feast that was reived in good old fashioned style. Mr. Ouzts has always been "the embodiment of economy, industry, frugality-an ample provider-which was abundantly in this their golden wedd ng dinner.

Deserving especial moiitiou is the fact that Mr. Ouzts wore on this oooasion the coat and vest which he wore when married fifty years ago. He also has the hat which he purchased at that time, and Mrs. Ouzts, has her wedding diess. One needs no stronger evidence than Mr.

and Mrs. Ouzts' half ceutury of married life to disprove the often repeated statement that marriage is a failure. During all these years God has reigned supreme iu their home. Alay Heaven's choicest blessings continue to be showered upon them, their children and their grandchildren! Letter to B. Edgefield, S.
