New YorY Express of Saturday afternoon, says It will be seen by reference to the manifest of the jacket ships arnvng here, that the imporla tions ire large, and such as will essentially increase ihe revenue. The exchanges on Europe keep to the specie point Shipments of specie, to England have recently been made to-sonie extent, the exportation last week ainountit'ig to about two hundred and ten thousand dollars; but there is no apprehension in the money market, for Cotton will soon be going forward, against which Bills will be drawn. It is believed that the Cotton crop will be over 2,000,000 bales, if not, over and that the cry of a "short crop" has yet no reasonable foundation. The rate of Sterling French Bills has been maintained. The remittance by the Boston and New Vork steamers will be large.

The rate for Bills on London has been at 10, but at the close the Bill market was dull. On Paris there has been a atea ly demand. The increased shipments of Flour, all for Briv.ah account, have, had the effect to check the advance of Bills. Had it not been for these shipments, there can be no question that a considerable amount of specie would have been shipped. Thk Bank or England.

The New York Commercial says- We notice that in four weeks" preceding the sailing" of the last" steamer, the bullion in the Bank of England had fallen off upward of 800,000, equivalent to a reduction of a million of dollars a week; a fact which if it should prove to be any thing more than a temporary movement, is destined ere long materially to affect the value of money in that kingdom. The accounts by the nexi steamer mny be looked for With some interest, both in respect to the condition of their money market, and ihn prospects of the harvest, with regard to which some fears appear to be entertained. A company of traders arrived at St. Louis on the 22d ultimo, from the Rocky Mountains. They met with Col.

Kearnkv and two limidred and fifty dragoons at the Cedar IlltiflVon the Itth of June, Col. K. imemded to to lo ihe Chimney, thence to the Smith Pass, and from that point to VYllin, on Ihe Arkansas. Whilst (he traders were encamped at Ced.ir Blurts five hundred and fifiy wagons of Oregon emigrants passed them. These people had g.iiten almig very well, having lost onlv a few of their cattle by Ihe depredation of Ihe Pawnees.

77ic Great Bnlain OiUJone. The immense steamboat Oregon, recently launched at N. York, has been finished, and will shortly be placed1 on the route between New York and Providence. ller length is three hundred and forty-feet ien leet longer than ihe steam-ship Great Britain. It is said there will be a trial of speed between these two huge vessels on tiie 30th instant.

Halt. Sun. Silver Mines in North Carolina. The Report of the Washington Silver Mine of Davidson county, North Carolina, recently published, represents this mine, according to the following statistics lo be very pmlitHhlc, mtd jjoml speculation to the proprietors: From (he commencement of mining operations to 1842, a period of twenty-seven 1 months, the actual produce of silver and gold was $13,288 68; this being the nett value allowed by ihe United Slates Mint. The litharge made in obtaining the precieus jnetnls netted $5,449 1 1 making and aggregate j.roduct of 1 8 ,787 79.

The buildings, machinery, and other expenses of outlay was 929,824 8,4. The entire produce of the mine to the 1st inst. (July, we suppose,) has been $40,379 47. The argentiferous load of this mine appears to yield nuher more than 240 ounces of silver lo the ton of 000 pounds. The receipts of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions for the financial year which was terminated July 31, from all services, wore $255, 1 12.

The expenditures during the same period, together with the debt of the previous year, were $137,817, The balauce on hand, therefore, at the commencement of a new Ip-eir, was $1 17.295. The excess of the recepts of the past year over those of the preceding yetr, is owing to the unusually large amount of legacies." The income from this source in 1843-4, amounted to while in 1844-5 it has beeiv $32,437. The Coinage. The Union gives the follow ing abstract of the amount of coinage at the Mint and Branch Mints for the month of July: lit eagles, in.half eagles, in quarter eagles, $5,737 60 total in gold, In half dollars, in dollars, in dimes, in half dimes, $49,000 total in silver, $264,000. A number of cases have been curtd of from five to twelve years standing, certificates of which may be teen at the office, and which will be published at intervals, that the puWi6 may read and judge for themselves. Hero is one which everyDyspeptic person is ihvited to read; it is from the lady of a respectable merchant of this city. Philadelphia, April 3d, 1844.

Da. Gkohbk W. Allew. Sin It is with pleasure tha I can inform you of the perfect cure that your Dyspeptic medicine hat made on me; it it now more than twelve years since I began to be afflicted with trial most distressing disease Dyspepsia, at that time, hty husband, Samuel Tolman, and myself, were living in Stoughton, Mass. For several yeart I was under the care of one of our most skillful and eminent physicians, Dr.

Wales, who did all he could to relieve me, but all to no purpose. Tor a number of yeart I wat in a most debilitated state, and part of the time scarcely able to get about the house, and many timet when 1 went up stairs I would be so faiat and weak that I would be corn- rilled to tit or lie down, from pure weakness. In 1437 came to this city with my husband, in moat miserable health, and nothing I could eat of any description, would remain on my stomach hut gruel, every thing else would cause me distressed feelings and would come up in a short time. In June, the tame year, I heard, of your valuable medicine, and procured it; the first bottle gave me and the second cured me entirely. So from that time up to the present dayAhave remained entirely free from that distressing complaint and can eat any kind of food, and it perfectly agrees with me.

If you think proper you can make use of this, and show it to thos afflicted in the same manner. Whoever reads thifay deptned upon the statements being perfectly correct A MRS. CHARLOTTE TOLMAN. No. 27 Branch street, This medicine can be had only at No, 28 South SIXTH Street four doors above Chesnut, Shaktpeare Building.
