This match is not yet settled, a liember beat McCarthy last SudJay, and the medal will be for him who wins three times out of five over the whole course. The boys will swim again next Sunday. Preparations are being made at the batbs for a swimming match to come off on that 27th of this month, between Fred Cook and M. K. Harris, amateur champions, of San Francisco, and Harry Hartley, an English champion.

George JTyler has issued a challenge to any and all amateurs ou this coast, to awira a series of half-mile races for a gold rnedal, on Saturday, 27th of June, af. Newport Baths. IX THS FIELDS.
