wt of visiting Methodist I had the pleasure Jet revival and on the next day were Invited to take dinner alone with the two mlnlstera who were conducting the meeting Attar tho dinner was over a conversation i was Indulged In In which wo think the power of truth prevailed On 4 the following night wo were Invited to hold a mcotlnir with the people which i we did and had the privilege of tench Ing them somo of the truths of the Gos pe of the Redeemer We next tnad our way to Giles county nnd as wo were on our way to i the Mountain Lake Sunday school we stopped near a schoolhousn and upon learning thnt we would be allowed tho use of the house we pubtlnhed and held a meeting on Monday night After our meeting was dismissed ft gentleman ff called for tho attention of the crowd anti announced that ho had read the I lllble In seven or eight different Ian guages had lived In 13 states and Canada had traveled much and had been out west and sat on the cornerstone ota Mormon temple and that he being minister of the Gospel would preach there tho next night The people gathered and our rever end friend preached a short sermon from Isaiah Wi after which ho paid ho had a talk ho desired to make His llrst effort was to Impress th people with tho magnitude of his learning anti experience after which ho told I of mnny things not to bo desired 1 which ho claimed had como undor his i observation and strove to leave the Impression upon the people that the Mormons were responsible for them i Ho rehashed the old myths of woman i slavery In Utah and the wife nnd girl Mpallng
