A Planned Unit Deveopment (PUD) requires the special blessing of the county because more housing units are put into a smaller area, less area than allowed the average homebuilder.

This particular area is being developed by two companiesone headed by Robert Broshear; the other 1 by Cardinal Industries. Commissioners Donald Schirmer and Arthur Reiff expressed a concern about whether enough I land was set aside for recreation in one proposed section of the development. Cardinal Industries spokesman Charles Alexander said that when the section adjacent to the 15-condominium acreage was developed, his company would establish the recreation facilities that would meet the commissioners' present objections. Schirmer said, "Planned communities are the wave of the future, but they incur an obligation on the county commissioners to see that all obligations are taken care of before we approve them." The developers said the commissioners should "look at the total, and not just the one section." No decision was made on the issue during the meeting. deaths burg; a brother, Benjamin Danner of Kennington, 8 four grandchildren.
