'U What a wonderful invention the Coal Oil Leamp was considered a generation ago. "Now it is mostly confined to isolated rural districts. Miles of pipes and wires are today supplying the city dwellers with Gas and Electricity, not only for lighting purposes, but for a score of tasks that are part of everyday life, If modern machinery, efficient employees and care in every department count for anything, the, cities of Alameda I County will always lead in modern lighting and! heating facilities.
