On Thursday evening Mrs. Hargreaves attended another shower for Mrs. Isebrand in the fellowship hall of the Methodist Church, Titonka. The Isebrands were married June 18 in the United Methodist Church, Algona. she is the former Suzanne McGinnis, Algona, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick McGinnis, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hargreaves. The couple plan to spend the summer at Titonka and in the fall will go to Iowa City where Mr. Isebrand will begin his fourth year at the University. - o- VACATION IN MISSOURI The Merle Chamberlains, Algona, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Christensen, Humboldt, returned June 28 after a week with relatives and doing some sightseeing in Missouri. The trip was made in the Chamberlain converted school bus. They visited the Danile Boone monument at Marthasville and the wine cellars at Herman, Mo., reported to be the largest in the United States. Other places on their itinerary were Laddonia, Mexico, Farber, Perry, Bowling Green and Van- dalis, all in Missouri. - o- NEW ARRIVAL Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith, Algona, are parents of an eight- pound son, Danny Jay, born June 25 at St. Ann Hospital. The Smiths are parents of two other sons, Larry, 6, and Greg, 4. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heinkel, LuVerne, and Chester Smith, Bancroft. - o- Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Capesius over , the weekend June 25-27 were ^V 1 their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Colwell and family, Ankeny. When they returned to Ankeny Sunday evening, their two sons, Kevin and Joel, who had been visiting at their grandparents home, returned home with them. The John Marti family were at the Melvin Baas home Wednesday evening for Mrs. Baas' birthday. Mrs. Lucy Wes'sel, Algona, was also a guest. Mrs. Dick Witham returned June 29 from St. Ann Hospital where she had been for a week following surgery. Jacque and Mike Nilles, children of Mrs. Pat Nilles, Webster City, returned Wednesday after vacationing for a week with the Leonard Hansens. Debbie and Mike Hansen recently spent several days with the Nilles's. Mrs. Hansen took Jacque and Mike and her own children to Crystal Lake one day to visit the Dick Carneys who formerly lived here.
