station to start fall in By WILLIAM WHITAKER Stall Writer A new Abilene television station will begin broadcasting this September with a full CBS lineup and heavy emphasis on news and publie affairs Bill Terry president of Big Country TV Co said this morning construction will begin immediately on the studio for KTAB-TV Channel 32 to be located at 5333 14th He said a construction permit from the Federal Communications Commission arrived Tuesday The construction permit arrived a year and a week after Big Country officially applied for a license The orignial application was filed March 20 1978 Estimated construction cost is $16 million Terry said adding that the 740-foot transmitting tower will be highest in the city It will be located 15 miles southeast of Abilene on a hill off Highway 38 himself Schulze said he agrees 100 percent with the organization's stated purpose of making sure there is least one qualified candidate per race But he read from a recent newspaper account quoting the CBG chairman-elect as saying that the group's past success in getting its candidates elected may discourage others from running thus fostering the apathy it was formed to prevent Schulze portrayed
