Efje Mene Reporter KPAR Goes to Tull Power' With New Tower at Trent TAGE ONE ABILENE TEXAS THURSDAY EVENING FEBRUARY 1 1962 SECTION Television station KPAR channel 12 began transmitting full power from a new location five miles south of Trent Thursday morning Engineers hooked up to a newly erected antenna after the station went off the air Wednesday night and were testing at full power by 2:30 am Thursday The station is now broadcasting at a power of 154000 watts It had been broadcasting at 30000 watts for more than a week That was when KPAR engineers first started moving equipment from the east side of Sweetwater to the Trent site Thursday morning the station was receiving monitoring reports of a city grade signal (without an outside antenna) in both Sweetwater and Abilene reported Dick
