The plan also calls for the putting of the yards south of Patrick stv'cel on the lots recently purchased of Mr. Of course yards go there will depend in a great measure upon what Mayor and Board of Aldermen will do in the way of granting a permit to cross Patrick street. At the last meeting of the Mayor and Aldermen the railroad asked permission to lay two additional' tracks across Patrick street, and ftl that meeting the impression was that the freight house would go on the south side of Patrick street The Alderman refused to take any action on the matter of granting permission to cross the street, after Alderman Johnson stated he was opposed to measure, and that it would sim- ly irake a freight yard across Patiick street.

He stated in his opinion there should be a watchman or gates at the crossing, which ne regarded as already dangerous, and which would be more so if two addiiional tracks were down.
