Investigation failed to reveal the origin of th.i rodents, but it is the opinion of persons living in the vicinity that someone dropped them there after they were dead. The theory that the rats were killed by moving automobiles was abandoned. 3y actual count, a motorist said he saw 47 of the dead animals, scattered along the road from a point just north of Spring Grove borough to Nashville, a two-mile stretch.
