Owens was born January 3D, 1897, in Wilburton. He was graduated from Aristes School and Wilkes-Barre Business College. Mr. Owens was first emoloyed in a clerical position in Bank in 1917. He served as assistant cashier at Centralia National Bank for 20 years, and in 1942 first made his home in Diamond-town, but later moved to Philadelphia.

He returned to the Anthracite region 40 years ago and since that time lived in Exchange. Mr. Mychak was employed at Richards Colliery and the Reliance mine until he retired six years ago. He was a member of SS. Peter's and Paul's Greek Catholic Church.

Survivors include the widow, the (J former Verna Kochen, to whom Mr. Myehak was married June 11, transferred to Trevorton to take over duties of assistant cashier of Trevorton First National Bank. 1914, in SS.
