10 — Kossuth County Advance Monday, April 19, 1971 Livermore Girl On Trip To Washington, D. C. LIVERMORE - Ellen Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wilson, and Sue Paeper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Paeper, left Thursday evening with a group going to a youth seminar in New York and will also visit other points of interest while there. Their tour is sponsored by the Methodist churches of Iowa. They will return April 24. - o - OES ACTIVITIES The annual school of instruction for the Order of Eastern Star was held April 13 in the chapter room with JoAnn McCallum of Mason City as the instructor. Ardis Rockwood, Lu- Verne, pro-temed for Elwood Rummens as Worthy Patron. There were also several other pro-terns and several distinguished guests, Mrs. Doris Barber and Mrs. Sherry Savage of the Corwith chapter were courtesy candidates in the evening. Refreshments were served by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Carlson, Mrs. Frank Tepner, Bode, and Mrs. Marjorie Shelton, Lu- Verne. - o - MRS. MOREY HOSTESS The United Presbyterian women met at the farm home of Mrs. Harvey Morey Wednesday afternoon with ten members .answering roll call. Mrs. Jessamine Miller presided at the business meeting and the hostess gave the devotions. Mrs. Marion Blake gave the lesson and Mrs. Violet Frederick was in charge of the least coin, reading a story with it. It was decided to have a bake sale at the Teen Center April 24 in the afternoon and also serve coffee and doughnuts. Mrs. Morey served lunch after the meeting. - o - W.S.C.S. MEETS The WSCS met at the Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Margaret Howard as hostess. Mrs. Dale Joiner conducted the business meeting and Mrs. Otis McQuary gave the lesson. Mrs. Wallace Hauck gave the devotions. Two guests were present, Mrs. Harold Speraw and Mrs. Robert Nelson. Lunch was served by Mrs. Howard. - o - HAVE VISITORS Visitors in the Ray Falb home for several days last week were her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Speraw, Heber Springs, Ark. They were taking ' his father, Jess Speraw, to his home in Winnebago, Minn. He had been visiting them for several weeks. On their way home they plan to visit a brother, Gerald Brown, and family at Harrisville, Mo., an uncle and aunt of the two ladies. Mr. and Mrs. Percy Loomer, Britt, were visitors in the Falb home Thursday. - o - Mrs. Jack Vaughn entertained her canasta club at supper Thursday evening. The evening was spent playing canasta. Mrs. Merrit Neal and Greg, Colorado Springs, Colo., spent the Easter weekend with her mother, Mrs. Laura Wells.
