GEORGE KILLEEN, BUILDER, IS DEAD Prominent Georgetown Citizen Succumbs After Long And Useful Career. George Killeen, on? of the sturdiest of old Georgetown, died at hU home. 3ST7 street. He waa a nauva of County Ireland, and came to thia country when a young man. taking up residence In Elmira.

N. Y. At the outbreak of the Civil War Mr. Killeen enlisted In the Twentythird New York Volunteer Infantry, end made a splendid record because of hie bravery and devotion to duty. When the war ended he came to the District located in Georgetown, where he ltred for more than half a century.

Mr. KJleea, being a man of ability and energy, took a leading part In civic and political matters here. He (always was a prominent figure In local politics tn the old days when the people of the District enjoyed suffrage and elected their mayor, common council and other officials.
