Penton Horton was acquitted of thoi charge of obtaining goods under false pretense. The capital case of Henry Young, charged with murder, was continued until the March Frank Smith, colored, plead guilty to the- charge of larceny and receiving. Ho was sentenced to twelve months on tho Charles Mulford, white, plead guilty to the charge' of assault with deadly weapon. He was fined five dollars and required to pay the costs. He also plead guilty 'to the charge of carrying concealed weapon and was given a similar sentence iu this case.

Frank Williams, colored, plead guilty to charge of larceny and receiving. He was given three years In the penitentiary. Mrs. Louisa Holland, a white woman, of Middle Creek township, was acquitted of the charge of assault with deadly weapon. Jones THley, colored, plead guilty and was fined five dollars for carrying a pistol.

William Bates, colored, received twelve months on the' roads for obtaining goods under false pretenses. Charles colored, plead guilty In two cases, gambling and embezzlement. Judgment was suspended in the gambling ease. He received six months In the embezzlement case. Charles Hill and Will Taylor, both colored, rocaiTod thirty days on the road each for "shooting craps." M. Mitchell and Joe Harris, both colored, were sentenced to twclvef months each for stealing. Elect! Officers. Monday night Company B. Third regiment, N.
