Pioneer Silk Manufacturer of York Passed Away Yesterday Henry Musser, aged 61 years, retired silk manufacturer, died at his home. 506 West Market street, at; 4:15 o'clock yesterday. Daith followed general paralysis, produced by a. complication of diseases. Although confined to his bed only one week, he had been in falling health for the past year.

Gettysburg is In gala attire to welcome the delegates of the Pennsylvania Knights of the Golden Eagle, who are now arriving in large numbers for their annual state convention which opens In Walter's theater tomorrow morning.

Every hotel and business block in the town Is lavishly decorated for the occasion and hundreds of delegates and visitors have already arrived for the opening session. In conjunction with the convention of knights will be a similar gathering of the Ladies of the Golden Eagles, who will hold closed sessions in another hall. About 400 delegates are expected for the knights' convention and 250 for that of the ladies' auxiliary. The main convention will open with a public meeting and will be followed by a closed business session. Tuesday afternoon the principal event of the gathering will take place, when a large parade of castles and comman-deries from all parts of the state will occur.

Many bands have already arrived and will be in line. Numerous prizes are offered for the largest com-manderies and castles in line and for those coming the longest distances. It Is believed that more than a thousand members of the order will be in the parade. The state officers of the organization are as follows: Junior grand chief. John Dyer, Pittsburg; grand chief, Charles Denby, Philadelphia; grand vice chief.

Coming of one of the old families of this section, he had a wide acquaintance In the county, besides his many friends and business associates In York. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Emma J. Musser; two. sons.

Walter E. and Howard S. Musser, and one daughter, Mrs. Harry D. Immel all of this city.
