to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. There will be no. service on Sundays or holidays. Fares will be 50 cents for adults; 25 cents for persons 6 through 18 and for those 60 years and older, and free to all handicapped people, and children 5 and under when accompanied by a fare-paying passenger.

Bus schedules are being printed and will be available at chamber of commerce offices, libraries and hotels and other locations in the Tri-Valley area. More information about the transit system and the inaugural may be obtained by phoning 829-6330. To interest people in the new' transit system, the Livermore-Amador Valley Transit Authority will offer free bus rides to the. ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Wheels buses will roll at 10 a.m.

and again at 12:15, 3 and 4 p.m. Bus riders will re-' ceive a free Wheels T-shirt Buses representing all the valleys mass transit systems will be on display, as well as a double-decker bus. The first week of full service, to begin at 7 a.m. Tuesday, will be free, of charge. The system will serve Pleasanton and Dublin initially, with Livermore coming on line next year to form a truly valleywide transit system.

The service. will run from 7 PLEASANTON Wheels the Tri-Valleys newest transit system will get rolling with a community party and ribbon-cutting ceremony Sunday at Pleasanton Sports Park at Jlopyard and Parkside roads. Full transit service will be- 3 in Tuesday in Pleasanton and' ublin. The inaugural celebration TWill include refreshments and Entertainment, as well as the fisual round of speeches by lo-cal politicians, starting at 11 fe.m. Those attending the inaugu-will receive' free Wheels ppnttons, which will enable ridden to use the new system free of charge on certain free-ride putton days during the year.

Self-taught, self-paced classes in the PLATO system are open to students, teachers and administrators. Study subjects include reviews of basic math and reading, introduction to computers, algebra, programming In BASIC, FORTRAN and PASCAL, pre-calculus, calculus, introduction to college chemistry and inorganic chemistry. Classes will be held at 10 a.m. for two hours per day, one day 'per week. Students, teachers and administrators can also use the science centers self-taught, self-paced tutorials.
