Sharon Pruitt Sharon Pruitt, age 67, peacefully went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 29, 2021. She was born December 23, 1953, at Magee General Hospital to Dick and Vonnell (Little) Pruitt. Sharon spent her life as a resident of Magee, MS, where she graduated from Magee High School and went on to attend Hinds Community College. She attended New Bethlehem Baptist Church. Sharon loved and was loved by many.

he always enjoyed time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Lee Stringer, Jessica reel (Richard) and Josh Stringer (Kayla). Sharon was the loving MooMaw to nine grandchildren, Asher, Deacon and Josie Kate Stringer (Lee), Lawson, Nash and Parker Creel (Jessica), Rowan, Maylee, Bo Stringer (Josh); brothers, Vernon Pruitt (Shelia), Vincent Pruitt Faye) and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, John and Sarah Ann Pruitt; maternal grandparents, Andrew and Earl Little and her niece, Brandy Renee Pruitt (Vincent Faye Pruitt). A memorial celebration of her life will be held for friends at Tutor Funeral home in Magee on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 10 a.m.

The family will hold a private graveside service following the memorial. Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee. Nancy Victoria Warren On Wednesday June 23, 2021, Nancy Victoria (Vicki) Warren, 64, was taken by the hand of God to reside eternally in heaven. Born January 22, 1957, in Mendenhall, MS, she was a resident of Magee, MS for most of her life. Vicki was known by many titles: Loving Daughter, Sister, Sister-in- law, Aunt, Niece, Cousin and loyal friend.

She was one of a kind, and she never met a stranger. She left her mark on those she loved with a kind heart. Her family and friends will remember her as an angel in our midst. Although the family was not ready for her journey to end, we were satisfied with her destination. She is survived by her mother, Johnnie Warren; her brother, Bill Warren (Debra); her niece, Lacie Higgins (Kenny Joe); her nephew, Tommy Warren (Lundon); her great-nieces, Kaitlyn Higgins and LaLea Grace Warren; and her great-nephews, Matthew Higgins and Sage Warren; and her special friend Troy Moss-all of Magee.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy C. Warren; her brother, Marty Warren; her grandparents, Chess and Bessie Warren and Orman and Elsie Stennett. Visitation was held on Saturday, June 26, 2021, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 27, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Burial followed in Goodwater Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville was in charge of the arrangements. She was preceded in death by her mother, Johnnie Merle Blakeney; grandparents, Johnny and Merle Hancock, and Gail and Louise Blakeney. Survivors include husband, Kevin Manning; children, Gabrial, William and Harley Manning; stepson, Hunter Manning; father, John Billy Blakeney; sister, Dena Jordan (Eric); brother, Blake Blakeney (Amy); nephew, Laine Jordan (Mallory); nieces, Abby and Gracie Jordan, Alex and Victoria Blakeney. Lucy Kennedy Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church of Taylorsville for Lucy Kennedy, 90, of Taylorsville, who passed away Friday, June 18, 2021. Rev.

Tommy Shields and Rev. Timothy Beard offici- a ted at the services with interment following in the Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville was in charge of the arrangements. urvivors include children, Craig Kennedy and Malone Kennedy, granddaughter, Thames Kennedy; rother, Bolivar Lewis, sister-in-law, Nancy Lewis, and a host of other family members and friends. Mignon Stephens Purser Mignon Stephens Purser, passed away on June 25, 2021.

She was born on October 19, 1933, to Paul Lawrence Stephens, Sr. and Ruby Lee (Dover) Stephens. She is survived by her daughters, Shelia Neumann (Scott), Lisa Collins (Lonnie) and son, Stacy Stephen urser; brother, Paul Stephens sisters, Carolyn Tanner, Janelle Webb; granddaughter, Hannah Collins; great-grandson, Kingston Collins; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Purser parents; brother, Andy Stephens; sister, Shirley Turlich, and brother-in-law, Kenny Webb. Services were at Tutor Chapel.

Interment followed in Sharon Cemetery in Magee. Arrangements were entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee. Phillip Boone Phillip Boone, age 75, passed away June 25, 2021, He was born May 14, 1946, to Thomas Jefferson Boone and Wisie Grace (Purvis) Boone. He is survived by his wife, Linda Cooper; brothers, Jeff Boone and Steve Boone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Wisie Boone; paternal grandparents, John Houston Boone and Margaret Caroline (Warren) Boone; maternal grandparents, Grover Isham Purvis and Lula (Hutson) Purvis.

Visitation and service were on June 27, 2021, at Rock Bluff Baptist Church in Morton, MS. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee. Jo Ann Materson Jo Ann Masterson, 72, of Puckett, died on June 24, 2021, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation was held on Monday, June 28, 2021, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m.

at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall. Burial was in Puckett Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pritchard Allen Masterson; parents, John and Elcenia Gates; brother, John Gates III. Survivors include her siblings, Kathy Holden, Judie Wilkerson (Jim), Rick Gates (Wanda), and Vickie Kurtz (Larry); son, Joey Rader (Brianne); step-children, Gordon Allen Masterson (Sharon), Darrell Lee Masterson (Karen), Wanda Carol Allen (Wayne), and Laura Lynn Thacker (Roy); granddaughter, Ashlyn Rader; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty Easterling Funeral services for Dr. Betty Easterling, 71, Mendenhall, MS (formerly of Covington County) will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 12 noon from the Chapel at Reeves Funeral Home. Viewing will be held before the service, 10-12 noon. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant CME Church Cemetery, Mount Olive, MS.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville was in charge of the arrangements. She was preceded in death by husband, Donald Lee; father, Edward Hamilton; mother, Delores Beard; daughter, Jerry Sue Gunter; siblings, Stephen Beard and Lila Cook.

Survivors include her children, Tommy McNeil (Lisa), Tim W. McNeil (Sherri), Kim McNeil Macy (Ralph), Richy McNeil (Kim), and Randy McNeil (Kristie); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Gloria Price and Edward Hamilton (Beth). John Eddison Lucas John (Eddie) Eddison Lucas, passed away June 23, 2021. He was born July 25, 1969. Visitation and service were held on June 29, 2021, at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Lucas; uncles, John Lucas, Aubery Lucas, and Pete Lucas. Survivors include his two children, Laken Barnes (Jacob Kennedy) and Jessica Lucas; two brothers, Travis Lucas and Troy Lucas; three grandchildren, Jacob Barnes, Zoey Barnes, and Zaylen Garner; two aunts, Betty Holland (Wayne) and Arlene Fortenberry (John); three nephews, Devon Lucas, Austin Morehead, and Aaron Layton; five cousins, Melissa Bryant, Jerry Fairchild, Charlie Fairchild, Lou Ann Gills, and Regennia Pierce.
