Deaths CI'ARLES W. DORSET Charles Wilson Dorsey, 82, died at his residence in Washington on Saturday morning. He a native of New London, Frederick County but had in Washington for six years. Ha attended Dorsey Chapel Methodist Church in New London before moving to Washington. Surviving are wife Mrs.

Margarey Rice Dorsey of Washington, his parents Mr. Robert N. and Mrs. Carrie Loud Dorsey of New London; seven brothers William N. Dorsey, Lester B.

Dorsey and Richard Dorsey of New London; Horace T. Dorsey of Tacoma, Wash. Robert E. Dorsey of Washington, D.C. Staff.

Mr. Hill was an employe of the Potomac Edison Company and worked in the line department.

The expenses of the Humane Society operation of the animal shelter were listed by Mrs. Howard Barker, president, and James Carey of the board of directors, as $4,200 for labor, $850 for food, $200 for veterin a sendees, $225 for telephones, $150 for insecticides, $450 for building repairs, $300 for equipment, $150 for insurance and $200 for miscellaneous items. Mr. Barker pointed out that the animal shelter operated by the Humane Society "Cuts down on the number of stray animals in Frederick County." She told the commissioners, "you would be deluged by dogs if it were not for us." "We also take cats. People bring them to us in bags containing as many as 30 to 50 cats and kittens," Mrs.

Barker said. She pointed out that the County Dog Warden "Will not pick up stray cats because it is too difficult." Carey said the Humane Society shelter handled 2,241 animals this year, 737 more than in 1963 and 100 more thau in 1965. Commissioner A. Irvin Renn commented, "There are still plenty of stray dogs around and we are constantly paying dog damage claims."
