gathering will discuss details of the annual city tournament for women to be held at the Oso beginning Nov 4 with a Scotch Foursome event The qualifying round is scheduled Nov 5 with match play on the following four days Members of the association are anxious to have all women golfers in the city compete in this tournament which is open to all women amateurs residing in the city all Navy wives or golfers have been smacking old man par during the summer months we should have a very fine municipal tournament out at Oso Beach Municipal Golf Course beginning with the medal round next Sunday Oct 7 The tourney willbe staged on a little different basis than was the case last year when many players were busy on wartime jobs and could not excuse themselves from work on any given day Last year the players were permitted to run off their matches at any time during the week This time the tournament will be run off on successive week ends This should entail no difficulties in securing leave from work After the medal round Oct 7 the balance of the week will be open to other qualifiers Opening matches on Saturday and Sunday Oct 12 and 13 and the semifinal and finals on the succeeding week end
