Ahrens Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Odell, with the Rev. David Sabel officiating. Burial will be at St.

Paul Catholic Cemetery, Odell. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at DuffyFuneral Home, Odell. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Paul Catholic Grade School or St.

Paul Catholic Church, Odell. She was born Feb. 14, 1915, in El Paso, a daughter of Jesse and Gertrude (Wernsman) Everett. She married Francis Ahrens on July 25, 1938. He died Feb.

5,1996. She is survived by two sons, James (Kathleen) Ahrens, Cascade, and Stephen (Linda) Ahrens, Odell; three daughters, Patricia (Bernie) Langheim, Salem, Mary Anne (Larry) Gleason, Pontiac; and Judith (Lee) Weber, Pontiac; 12 grandchildren; several great -grandchildren; one great -great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Odell, and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Catholic Daughters of Odell, Odell Historical Society, Catholic Circle and the Fun Timers group, Pontiac. She was educated at St. Mary's Grade School, Pontiac, and was a graduate of Pontiac High School. Helen loved to knit lap robes and booties for other ASTA Care residents, and she was a lifelong Cubs fan. Condolences may be made to the family at Carole T.

Bailey HEYWORTH Carole T. Bailey, 72, of Heyworth, died Thursday (March 17, 2011) at her residence. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at CalvertBelangee- Bruce Funer al Home, Heyworth, where a memorial Carole T.

They preceded her in death. She married Kenneth Pierce on May 14, 1960, in Pittsville, Wis. He died Feb. 17, 1979. She married James Vernon Bailey on June 19, 1976, in Bloomington.

He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Christine Jay Pierce Hilger (Chuck), Florida, and Carrie Jean Pierce Gates (Ronald Florida; two stepsons, Kevin T. She graduated from St. Joachim Catholic School. She worked as a supervisor for APL Logistics Warehousing. She was an avid Heyworth sports fan and supporter. She enjoyed fishing, helping out her neighbors and watching the news to keep up on current events.

Carole was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great -grandmother and devoted friend who will be deeply missed. Donald E. Blessman MASON CITY Donald E. Blessman, 88, of Mason City, died March 17, 2011, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mason City United Methodist Church, with Jim Bortell officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hurley Funer al Home, Mason City. Cremation Donald E.

8, 1922, in rural Mason City, the son of Claude and Florence (Lussenhop) Blessman. He married RosElla List on Dec. 29, 1943. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, RosElla; son, Gary (Marcia) Blessman, Princeton; daughter, Donna (Bob) Stadsholt, Normal; seven grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gene Blessman.

Donald graduated from Mason City High School and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and Mason City United Methodist Church, where he was the choir director, youth group counselor and also served on many committees. Don retired from Keystone Steel and Wire Co. after 41 years as a machinist and tool and die maker.

Don and his wife spent many winters in Florida, where he enjoyed his favorite pastime, playing golf. He loved to travel and one of his favorite places was Rocky Mountain National Park. Fauber DANVERS Kathleen A. "Katie" Fauber, 88, of Danvers, died at 3:20 a.m. Friday (March 18, 2011) at her residence. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at OttoArgo- -Calvert Memorial Home, Danvers, with the Rev.

Ron Thacker officiating. Entombment will be at East Lawn Mausoleum, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the memorial home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made to Kathleen A.

Fauber Advocate BroMenn Hospice. Katie was born Dec. 7, 1922, in Peoria, the daughter of Joseph Howard and Melvin Elizabeth Rucker Blount. She married Lloyd Richard Fauber on Oct. 23, 1941, at Spring Bay.

He survives. Also surviving are five children, Ralph (Dixie) Fauber, Stanford; Larry (Judy) Fauber, Bartonville; Robert Fauber (Dee Meiss), Heyworth; Janice (Richard) Marmon, Lakewood Ranch, and Ruth Ann (Michael) Fogler, Danvers; one brother, Kenneth Blount, Nixa, two sisters, (Gil) Diamond, Abingdon, and Nancy (Gene) Lunini, Pekin; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great -grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Katie had a love and dedication to her family, especially children. 8, 1920, in Chicago, a son of Richard E. and Lulu Kane Hahn. He married Ora Jean Dick on Nov. 21, 1942, in Cullom. She died March 10, 1995.

Surviving are two sons, Richard "Skip" (Dorothy) Hahn, Dwight, and James B. Hahn, Saunemin; a daughter, Sharie (Philip) Metcalf, Brimfield; five grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and two stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Hahn. He had been a quality control supervisor at. Pittsburgh Tube in Fairbury and was a lifelong farmer in the Saunemin area.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pontiac, Pontiac Elks, and past member of the Pontiac Moose Lodge. Jo Swanson GIBSON CITY Mary Joanne "Jo" Swanson, 73, of Gibson City, died at 2:20 p.m.

Thursday (March 17, 2011) at her home with her family by her side. Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Gibson City, with the Rev. John Oerter officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m.

Sunday at the church. Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial tributes may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Gibson Area Hospital or to Passages Hospice. She was born June 26, 1937, in Gibson City, a daughter of Walter W. and Mary Blanche (Swearingen) Jordan.

She married Theodore Q. "Ted" Swanson Jr. on June 2, 1957, in Gibson City. He survives. Also surviving are her children, Trudy Jo (Ray) Lantz, Gibson City; Timothy Jordan (Janice) Swanson, Gibson City; and Sara Ruth (Ken) Musson, Rifle, seven grandchildren, Ramie and Ruthie Lantz; Ben and Rachel Musson; Noah, Jesse and Emma Swanson; her siblings, Juanita (Bob) Boyce; Wilma (late Ray) Reiners; Darrell (late Betty) Jordan and Arlene (Elmer) Jacobs, all of Gibson City.

Jo worked at Gear Gibson City. She then stayed at home, raising her children. When her children reached school age, she -entered the work force, working at Hoover Jewelry Store in Gibson City. She and her husband owned and operated the Montgomery Ward catalog store prior to her employment at Gibson Girl, also in Gibson City. She then retired from retail and started babysitting her grandchildren, who she loved very much.

She enjoyed reading, playing cards and board games with them. They were her pride and joy. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she served as deacon, a Sunday school teacher and was involved with the women's association. She was an avid walker, self piano player, enjoyed bowling being a member of the Jayettes and Gad-abouts Club. She was a Girl Scout leader and delivered Meals on Wheels and just enjoyed being there for others.

She and her husband were members of a Saturday night card club for over 50 years. She enjoyed playing bridge in the hospital marathon and several other bridge clubs. She was very supportive of her husband's activities and a wonderful host to all. She enjoyed many vacations with family and friends. Lindsey, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and banker of Onarga, was born May 15, 1921, in Chicago, the son of Byron Ralph and Osa Lindsey Blotcky. He married Mary Rosalie Wasmer on Aug. 28, 1943, in Camp Lejeune, N.C., where he was stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps.

She survives along with three sons, Ronald Lindsey Blotcky, Ridgecrest, Gary Lee (Nancy) Blotcky, Manitowoc, and Byron William Blotcky (Terri Obrien), Bloomington; and one daughter, Susan Osa (Roger) Essmann, Earlville; 13 grandchildren, Aaron S. Essmann, Chicago; Kira L. (Justin) Bender, Mosinee, Kelsey A. Essmann, Earlville; Cole L. Blotcky, Chicago; Ashley S.

Blotcky and Taylor K. Blotcky, both of Normal; Ronald L. (Angeleen Hamilton) Blotcky Peoria, Kristen M. Blotcky and Sarah C. Blotcky, both of Ridgecrest, Kelley K.

(Maurice) Friedman, Chicago; Chris W. (Kara) Grimes, Plano, Texas; Andy J. (Denise) Grimes, Bloomington; and Tim H. Grimes, Los Angeles, and 13 great -grand- children. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant son, Thomas.

He graduated from Illinois Wesleyan, where he was co-captain of the baseball team and a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Lindsey enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1943 and was commissioned a lieutenant. He served as a communications officer in the South Pacific including the Ulithi Islands. He continued serving in the Marine Corps Reserves and retired as a captain.

After the war, Lindsey joined his father working at the Onarga Mercantile Store until 1959, when he joined the Onarga State Bank. He retired as executive vice president in 1982, and moved to Normal in 1989. He was a member of the Onarga American Legion; Lions Club; treasurer of the Onarga School Board; and Salvation Army. He was a lifelong Cubs fan. The family would like to thank Dr.

(Mona) Lohnes, Bloomington; one stepgranddaughter, Kelly (Mark) Simon, Aurora, and their children, Christian and Aubree Simon; one stepgrandson, Corey (Heather) Christenson, Pontiac, and their children, Aiden, Hunter, Cale Christenson; three nieces, Kathleen Emery, Colleen (Larry) Harris, Charlene (Tim) Emmons; several great -nephews and a great -niece. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a graduate of Bloomington High School. Margaret graduated from Brokaw Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse and had also been a registered X-ray technician. She was a 35-year employee at McLean County Health Department, retiring in 1988. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Bloomington. Margaret was past president of the Women's Division and Chamber of Commerce and a past state president of the Illinois Order of DeMolay Mothers Clubs and a member of the Hands All Around Quilt Guild.

She enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts, nativities and genealogy.
