Sancken, 91, a resident of Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac, formerly of Saunemin and Cullom, died at 12:35 a.m. Monday (Dec. 27, 2010) at Evenglow Tiardes Health Care Center, Pontiac.

Lois Sancken Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cullom United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Phillips officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery, Cullom.

Martin Funeral Home, Cullom, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials in Lois' name may be left to the Cullom United Methodist Church, the Cullom Library or the Cullom Ambulance Service. Lois was born June 17, 1919, in Toluca, a daughter of Archibald W. and Ida Mabel Asper Taylor. She married Fred C.

Sancken on Oct. 17, 1942, in Manchester, Tenn. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2000. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Gerald, deceased) Hasty, Pekin, and Evonne (Terry) Nelson, Washington, with whom she made her home for many years. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Kurt (Cathy) Hasty, Paducah, Ryan (Amy) Hasty, Effingham; Lisa Nelson, Bloomington; Julie (Eric) Veltman, Naperville; and Erik Nelson, Normal; and five great -grandchildren, Allison and Megan Hasty; Braden and Mason Hasty; and Kaylie Veltman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant brother, Clarence; one sister, Elva Lighty; and two brothers, Glenn and Howard Taylor. Mrs. Sancken graduated from Cullom High School as valedictorian of the class of 1936. She had worked for an office of the construction company that built the General Foods corn mill and later she worked in the General Foods offices in Kankakee. After World War II, she became a homemaker and a farm wife.

Lois was a member of the Cullom United Methodist Church, where she was the Sunday school superintendent of children's work and had been the president of the UMW. She was a past member of square dance clubs in Kankakee, Watseka, Pekin and Peoria. She had been a member of the Cullom Senior Citizens Club. Stout, 95, Mackinaw, passed away at 1:17 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 25, 2010) at her home. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Unit ed Methodist Church in Mackinaw, with the Rev.

Jack Wolf and the Rev. Donald Doty presiding. Visitation will be from 10 to Stout 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Mackinaw Township Cemetery.

Hansel Funeral Home, Mackinaw, is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Mackinaw, the Mackinaw Rescue Squad or Methodist Medical Center Hospice Services. Elsie was born March 15, 1915, in Morton, daughter of William and Julianna Heins Denne. She married Clarence R. Stout at Grants Pass, on Dec.

30, 1935. Clarence passed away on Nov. 25, 1992. Elsie was a homemaker. Elsie was a member of Mackinaw United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Club and the Mackinaw Young at Heart Club.

Elsie is survived by four nieces, Betty (Frank) Bugg, Hemet, Verla McFarland, Sparland; Linda (Ronald) Pringle, Lacon; and Linda Giles, Normal. Elsie is also survived by two nephews, Jack (Carol) Oltman, Lacon, and Donald Denne, Danvers. Elsie was blessed with an extended family of special friends, Sam and Mary Hovey, Mark and Dottie McGrath, Dan and Cheryl Thames, Mike and Nancy Boucher and Richard and Florence Grunert. Elsie received loving care by her caregivers: Carolyn McGinnis, Pam Sparks, Lori McGinnis, Candy Haynes, Dixie Pini, Stephanie Neeley, Nancy Payton and Libby Gibbs for many years. Irene J. Traub FORREST Irene J. Traub, 97, a resident of Fairview Haven Nursing Home in Fairbury, formerly of rural Forrest, passed away at 4:48 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 26, 2010) at the home.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Forrest Apostolic Christian Church, with ministers of the church officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin Funeral Home, Forrest, and also from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be at the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, rural Fairbury. Memorials may be made to Fairview Haven Nursing Home. Irene was born April 27, 1913, in Fairbury, a daughter of Joseph and Kate Zimmerman Zehr. She married Benjamin Traub on Jan. 28, 1936.

He preceded her death on Feb. 8, 2003. She is survived by one daughter, Judy (Wayne) Anliker, Forrest; five grandchildren, Sherri (Paul) Kelson, Fairbury; Rodney (Anne) Anliker, Tempe, Robert (Linda) Anliker, Forrest; Sandra (Mike) Zimmerman, Wexford, and Steven (Kristin) Anliker, Marysville, Ohio; 18 greatgrandchildren; eight great -great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy (William) Streib, Fairbury; one sister-in-law, Rosamond Zehr, Fairbury; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Raymond, Harvey and Harry Zehr. Mrs.

Traub was a lifelong homemaker, and she enjoyed crocheting afghans and playing the accordion. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and always enjoyed each baby that she could hold. Ruth D. Vogel EL PASO Ruth D. Vogel, 86, of 253 E. Fifth El Paso, died at 4 a.m. Monday (Dec.

27, 2010) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, El Paso, with the Rev. Roger Corpus, OSB, officiating.

Vogel was born Sept. 12, 1924, at Ruth Minonk, a daughter of Vogel William and Elizabeth Gollon Cabal. She married Gilbert C. Vogel on June 24, 1944, at Benson. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Gary (Sandy) Vogel, Bloomington; three grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Vogel, Congerville; Ashlei (Brad) Stare, Elgin; and Troy Tegard, El Paso; and three great -grandchildren, Colin, Kira and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marcia; three brothers; and three sisters. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a charter member of the El Paso VFW Auxiliary.

Ruth was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, great -grandmother and friend. She enjoyed gathering with family and friends. She loved playing cards, doing needlework and making floral arrangements as gifts. She gave freely of her time and her heart. She was her husband's best buddy and will be sadly missed by all.

Waters, 54, Eureka, passed away at 4:55 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 26, 2010) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal, surrounded by his loving wife, Richard boys, fami- Waters ly and friends when he went home. His funeral will be at 10 a.m.

Friday at man-Harris Funeral Home, Eureka. The Rev. Nollan Harwood will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Olio Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. He was born May 18,1956, in Bloomington, a son of Leslie and Carol Blackmore Waters. He married Kimberly Janssen on Feb. 7,1976, in Eureka.

She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Richard Waters II, Heyworth, and Randy Waters (fiancee Katy Feeney), Eureka; his mother, Carol Waters, Washington; one grandson, Khogan; two brothers, Robert (Nancy) Bishop, Eureka, and Mike (Rachelle) Waters, Bloomington; and two sisters, Georgia (Dave) Kaps and Nancy (Jack) Goujon, both of Morton. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister. Richard worked for Mechanical Devices Bloomington, and was also a part -time courier for Advocate Eureka Hospital. He had owned and operated Kim's restaurant in Eureka from 1984-1990.

Richard was a member of the Eureka Sportsmen's Club and the Woodford and Peoria Izaak Walton League. He was currently an alderman for the City of Eureka and had been for many years. An outdoorsman, he appreciated nature. He loved to fish and was an avid gardener. He was known for sharing his garden crops with others.

Cole Vogel Ruth Vogel NORMAL Stanley C. Cole, 93, a Wheaton resident for four years, formerly of Normal, died at 12:15 a.m.

Saturday (Dec. 25, 2010) at Windscape Nursing and Rehabilitation, Wheaton. Cabal. Amemo- rial service will be on Jan. 29, Stanley Cole 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church in Wheaton.

A private entombment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Local arrangements are being handled by East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice tive Care of Northeastern Illinois. He was born July 6, 1917, in Florence, Ariz. He attended Lawrence University and later received a master's degree from Illinois State University in Normal.

He enlisted in the Navy at the beginning of World War II, achieving the rank of lieutenant commander. He served in the Pacific and in Europe. Stan worked as an underwriter for State Farm Insurance for 30 years. During that time, he earned the CPCU designation. While living in Normal, Stan was active in the Masonic Lodge, Kiwanis, Normal Alumni Club and Longfellow Club.

He served on the board of Friends of Milner Library (ISU). He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Normal, where he sang in the choir. He was also a lifelong learner, avid stamp collector, photographer and enthusiastic traveler. Stan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather. Married for 70 years, Stan leaves behind a grieving family, including his wife, Dorothy Martin Cole, Wheaton; his three daughters, Laura (Jim) Carr, Wheaton; Karen (Jim) Tivnan, Ipswich, and Nancy (Mark) Wessling, Oconomowoc, grandchildren, Erin (Matt) Young, Wheaton; Bryan Carr, Fort Collins, Kelly (John) Quinn, Middleton, N.H.; Daniel Tivnan, Newburyport, Susan Tivnan, North Reading, and Steve (Erin) Wessling, Alice Wessling and Tom Wessling, all of Minneapolis, and four great -great -grandchildren, Abigail and Ryan Young, and Keegan and Dillon Quinn.

BLOOMINGTON Floyd L. Hutson, 88, Bloomington, passed away at 10:03 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 25, 2010) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Floyd Cullison on Jan. 26, 1950, in Bloomington.

She preceded him in death March 5, 2009. Floyd was also preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Mary Parido Siron. He is survived by five sons, Michael (Jean) Hutson, Steve Hutson, Greg Hutson, Dennis (Peggy) and Mark (Ann) Hutson; one daughter, Marsee (Jeff) Hutson Patterson; nine grandchildren, Tena and John Parido, Amy (Jay) Semon, Michael (Christi) Hutson, Joshua Hutson, Katie Hutson, Christy Hutson, Thomie Hutson and Justus Mocilan; one great -granddaughter, Jillian Hutson; and two great -grandsons, Kalin Durbin and Erik Parido. Floyd served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

After returning home, he owned and operated Auto Sales in Bloomington for many years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington. He was also a member of the Bloomington Masonic Lodge. 19, 2010) at Gulfside Hospice, Zephyrhills, Fla. His funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fellowship Baptist Church, Thonotosassa, Fla. Burial will be at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Brandon, Fla. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

He was born Nov. 17, 1940, in Bloomington, a son of Lyle and Emma Lee Moran. They preceded him in death.

He married Doris P. Alvis on June 5, 1959, in Normal. She survives in Zephyrhills, Fla. Also surviving are son, Roger (Gaye), Valrico, two grandsons, Chad (Rosalen), Naples, and Jeremy, Valrico, and several relatives in Bloomington -Normal and the surrounding area. Perschall, 68, Gilbertsville, and formerly of Bloomington, died at 5:12 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 26, 2010) at his home. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvert Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev.

Bob Knapp officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home. The family suggest memorials be made to "DADS" (Dollars Against Diabetes), Hollywood, or to Boy Scout Troop 84, Siloam Springs, Ark.

Bob was born Dec. 10, 1942, in Bloomington, the son of Theodore E. and Ruth L. Nance Perschall. He married Patsy M.

Dar- rough on Dec. 2, 1964, in Bloomington. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Tina (Darrin) Coon, Siloam Springs, and Bobbi (Christopher) Mason, Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren, David, Daniel, Jonathon, Matthew, Michael, Christine, Ruth and Emily; one brother, Theodore E. (Paula) Perschall, Leslie, and one sister, Ruthann (Ron) Jacobs, Kankakee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Jacqueline McIntosh and Nancy Ragusa. Bob was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Union Local 63, Moose Lodge and VFW Men's Auxiliary, all of Bloomington. Bob enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

She was born April 27, 1919, in Jacksonville, daughter of Harry H. and Clara Eyles Summers. Rosie was a dedicated nurse and aunt to her many great -nieces and nephews. She worked in Beardstown, before moving to Normal in 1961 to work for Brokaw Hospital. She later worked for Drs.

Dowd, Dowd and Dowd for many years before retiring in 1992. She loved cookies and chocolate and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bloomington. She is survived by one niece, Pam Jacobs; one nephew, Michael (Kathy) Smith; great -nephews and nieces, Brian (Margaret) Van Horn; Julie Van Horn; Eric (Amy) Van Horn; Christi Mariner; Jeff Van Horn; Michelle (Elmer) Hanson; and Benjamin, Lia, Micah, Sharney, Bethany and Kimmy Smith. Also surviving are 10 great -great -nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harry Summers; and one sister, Margaret Smith. Rosie was loved by many, especially her family and she will be deeply missed.
