0. E. Moore, Secretary of the Tar Spring Petroleum Company, was in Cleve land on Saturday, direct from the lands of his company, where he has been superintending the boring of three wells on the lands of this Company, He reports the most vigorous operations now going on in Crawford county, Indiana, and that there are at this time not less than twenty wells boring in various parts of the well belonging to the Tar Spring Company in the immediate neigh borhood of the celebrated "Stanly" well, a now aunk to a depth of 120 feet, and al ready the oil rises to the top of the ground. Experienced oil men pronounce the prospect for a flowing well equal to any they bave ever seen, and think when it has been sunk to a sufficient depth it will prove on. tne largest yet opened tbat locality, Paroled Pbisohees.

We have received from one of the jurora, a summary of the Business ef the Court of Common Pleas in that coauty, and also a few of the more important concluding cases, which have not been reported. The winter term of tbe Court has just closed. There have been bsfore it, one hundred and seventy-three cases. Of this number, eighteen have been State and twenty-two divorce cases Nearly all the postponed eaaea have been put over because of the absence oi witnesses in the army. The jury returned a verdict of guilty in the case of the State vs.

Edward Jeffards, charged with "malicious mischief." He, and a brother, in the night, broke into a widow's house, drove out her and three children, broke all the windows, crockery-wares, stoves and furniture, and destroyed all the bedding, leaving the house a perfect wreck. Clevelahd Medical College. Having learned from various sources that a report is being astiduously circulated that an effort is being made on the part of the Cleveland Medical College, to unite with the "Charity Hospital Medical College," we deem it necessary to thus publioly contradict such reports.
