THIRD EDITION www.pantagraph.com The Pantagraph Tuesday, November 20, 2001 CENTRAL ILLINOIS Gerald F. Wargo STREATOR Gerald F. "Shaver" Wargo, 66, formerly of 705 Wisconsin Streator, died at 9:02 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 18, 2001) at Camelot Terrace, Streator.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen's Church, Streator, Monsignor Peter Bolerasky officiating. Following the service, cremation rites will be accorded with burial in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Streator, at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, with the rosary recited at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Mr. Wargo was born Oct.

26, 1935, in Streator, a son of George and Mary Harcharik Wargo. Survivors include three sons, Thomas W. Wargo, Van Nuys, and Mark A. Wargo and Gary F. (Carol) Wargo, both of Streator; one sister, Lorraine (Raymond) Wahl, Streator; three brothers, Daniel Wargo and George Wargo, both of Streator; and Kenneth "Butch" Wargo, Ottawa; and four grandchildren.

His parents; one sister, Geraldine Cavanaugh; and one brother, Robert Wargo, preceded him in death. BLOOMINGTON-NORMAL Ila M. Blair NORMAL Ila M. Blair, 83, of 509 N. Adelaide Normal, died at 4:45 p.m.

Saturday (Nov. 17, 2001) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal. There will be no service. Her body will be gifted to medical science. Inurnment will be at a later date at Funks Grove Cemetery, McLean.

Arrangements are by Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home, Bloomington. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. She was born July 31, 1918, at Bloomington, a daughter of Willis and Bonnie Lee Hadley Blair. Survivors include one nephew, Ronald Blair, California; one great and several cousins, including Richard Workman, Normal, who was her caretaker. Her parents, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Ila was a very giving person, often times helping family, friends and neighbors when needed. Willa N. Hewitt BLOOMINGTON Willa N. Hewitt, 93, of the Lutheran Home since 1993, formerly of 1100 E. Maywood, Peoria, the mother of a Bloomington man, died at 4 p.m.

Monday (Nov. 19, 2001) at the Lutheran Home. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Glen Oak Christian Church, the Rev. Paul Isom officiating.

Private family burial of ashes will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the memorial service at the church. Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Home, Glen Oak Christian Church or to Shriner's Hospital for Children. She was born Aug.

20, 1908, in Greenview, the daughter of William Dennison and Nellie Alberta Gray James. She married Harold Hewitt on June 14, 1931. He died Dec. 12, 1994, in Peoria. The area survivor is Jim (Donna) Hewitt, Bloomington.

Other survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Orval) Paris, East Peoria; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Two brothers preceded her in death. A graduate of Peoria High School and Peoria Normal Training School, she received her teaching certificate in 1928. 18, 2001) at her home. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or the Community Cancer Center. She was born July 23, 1949, at Rock Island, the daughter of Anthony and Agnes Frisch. She married Mark Kratzner in 1986 at St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

They later divorced. Survivors include three daughters, Terri (Donald Griffin) Brookshier, Bloomington; and Tina Small and Tara Kratzner, both of Normal; three sisters, Donna (Clifton) Hayes, Maud, Texas; Stephanie (Dan) Johnson, Moline; and Karen (Denny) McDowell, Normal; and one brother, Thomas (Brenda) Wheeler, Normal. Other survivors include six grandchildren, Justin and Ashley Brookshier; Kaden, Preston and Alexandria Small; and Nicholas Cramer; and dear friends, Gail Lopez and Becki Ashenbrener. Her parents and two brothers, James and Thomas, preceded her in death. Kathy was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.

She had been a nurse's aide for Heritage Manor, Normal, and a manager for Hickory Farms. She enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles and travel. NORMAL The funeral of Kathy Frisch Kratzner, 52, of 1202 Searle Drive, Normal, will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St.

Mary's Church, both in Bloomington. The Rev. Dacian Batt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Kathy Cemetery, Kratzner Bloomington.

Yang-Yen Lin BLOOMINGTON Yang- Yen Lin, 88, of 2205 Oakwood Bloomington, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 17, 2001) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.

Saturday at Carmody-Flynn Yang-Yen Williamsburg Lin Funeral Home, Bloomington. She will be cremated. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Taiwanese Community Church, 1420 S.

Meyers Road, Lombard, IL 60148. She was born July 21, 1913, at Taiwan. She married Dr. SanWan Lin in 1930 at Taiwan. He died in 1972.

Survivors include six daughters, Grace Tsung of Minnesota; Pei-Yu (Ping-Li) Tsai and Connie (Chen-Lu) Lin, both of Taiwan; Terry (Hsu-Chi) Yen of New Mexico; Monica (ChingCheng) Wei, Chicago; and Faye (Chien-Min) Lu of California; three sons, Prof. Chen Tong (Shu-Chen) Lin and Dr. GreenTong (Maria) Lin, both of Taiwan; and Dr. Sun-San (Yolanda) Lin, Bloomington; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. One infant daughter, one brother, two sisters, one grandson and one son-in-law preceded her in death.

Mrs. Lin had worked in a medical clinic in Taiwan with her husband, and came to the United States in 1972. She was a member of the Taiwanese Community Church, Lombard. Ruth Reardon Ruth Reardon BLOOMINGTON Ruth Elva Reardon, 49, of 108 Oak died at 2:35 a.m. Valley Court, Bloomington, 19, 2001) at her home.

She had been ill. Her funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazarene, Bloomington. The Rev. Scott Sherwood, the Ruth Rev.

Roger Reardon Davis, the Rev. Todd Keller, the Rev. Roy Foster and the Rev. A.D. Foster will officiate.

Burial will be in Troyer Cemetery, Carlock. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home, Bloomington, and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church. She was born Dec. 5, 1951, in Bloomington, the daughter of Herman Carver and Grace Cordellia Foster Rutledge. She married Steven Wayne Reardon May 29, 1976, in Bloomington. He survives. Other survivors include her parents, also of Bloomington; and three brothers, Gary Rutledge, Hudson; Paul (Annette) Rutledge, Ellsworth; and Kevin (Rose) Rutledge, Sabina.

Seven nieces and nephews to whom Ruth was very close also survive. Her grandparents preceded her in death. Ruth was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Bloomington, IL. She was very active in her church. She played the organ, sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school for over 30 years.

She had worked at Country Companies Insurance in Commercial Underwriting since 1991. Shane Young BLOOMINGTON The funeral of Shane Michael Young, 16, of 1206 N. Mason Bloomington, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington. Pastor Dan Wissmann will officiate.

Saturday (Nov. 17, 2001) in Mason County from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Educational Fund of Amanda Wells. He was born Aug. 7, 1985, in Lincoln, a son of Carolyn Charron.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and George his father, Michael Wright; two sisters, Michelle (Jose) Hernandez and Amanda Wells; and grandparents, Ann and Vernon Charron, Lincoln. Also surviving are five aunts; three uncles; three nieces, Cesiley and Jessica Barnes and Felicia Ridgeway; and one nephew, Jacob Curry. He was a member of Park United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Bloomington High School Football Championship Team of 2001. Shane loved basketball.

Shane will be greatly missed by his family and those who loved him, especially his best friend, Brandon.
