a THE PANTAGRAPH Friday, April 27, 2001 A11 LOCAL UBITUARIES Central Illinois James W. Ackman NEW HOLLAND James W. Ackman, 80, of New Holland died at 7:36 a.m. Thursday (April 26, 2001) in Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital's emergency room, Lincoln. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m.

Tuesday at New Holland United Methodist Church, the Rev. Doug Rettig officiating. His body was donated to medical science. Visitation will be for one hour before the service Tuesday at the church. Holland Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Fund or to the Heart Fund. He was born March 22, 1921, in McDonough County, a son of Elmer and Anna Marple Ackman. He married Marian L. Cooley on Dec. 1, 1946, at Bushnell.

She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Banister, Lincoln; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Herman Ackman. Sean Patrick Boyce LEXINGTON Sean Patrick Boyce, infant son of Joseph C. and Sallie C.

Grant Boyce of 208 S. Cherry Lexington, was stillborn at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday (April 25, 2001) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal. There will be no services. Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his parents; a sister, Ashley Boyce, at home; a brother, Ian Boyce, at home; maternal grandparents, Clive and Marian Grant, Bloomington; and paternal grandparents, John and Norma Boyce, Lexington. Alan Robert Brucker SIBLEY Alan Robert Brucker, 48, of Sibley, formerly of Roberts, died at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday (April 25, 2001) at his home. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St.

John's Lutheran Church, Sibley, the Rev. William Hecht officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Sibley. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, and for one hour before the service Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be made to The Carle Hospice Program; Gibson Area Ambulance; The National Brain Tumor Foundation; or to a charity of the donor's choice. Mr. Brucker was born June 18, 1952, at Fairbury, a son of Robert C. and Ada L. Gott Brucker.

He married Christine M. Loos on Sept. 21, 1974, at Galesburg. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Ada Brucker Kennedy, Gibson City; one daughter, Stacy (Ryan) Fisher, Champaign; two sons, Eric Brucker and Daniel Brucker, both of Urbana; one sister, Phyllis Fuoss, Gibson City; and two brothers, Harold Brucker, Paris, and Dean Brucker, Naples, Fla.

Mr. Brucker was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Sibley; Sullivant Township Board; and Gibson City Ambulance Board. Mr. Brucker farmed for 30 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auctions and farm sales. He loved his farm and family life and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. We are thankful for the wonderful time we shared with our husband and father. Charles Cook LATHAM Charles Russell Cook, 76, of Latham died at 9:53 p.m. Wednesday (April 25, 2001) at his residence.

His funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Niantic. Father Kenneth Steffen will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at FrickeCalvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski, with a prayer service at 4:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church or Decatur Memorial Hospital Hospice. Mr.

Cook was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Barry, a son of Russell and Ruth Mason Cook. He married Margaret Schick on Oct. 23, 1948, in Niantic. She survives.

Paid Notices Pauline Riggs Davis LeROY Pauline Riggs Davis, 84, of LeRoy died at 12:35 a.m. Thursday (April 26, 2001) at LeRoy Manor. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, the Rev. Robert Beckman officiating.

and Roxie Ada Tucker Duncan. She married Lester Ellifrits in 1931. She later married Henry L. Riggs on Sept. 26, 1940, at Palmyra, Mo.

He died Dec. 12, 1986. She married Harold E. Davis on Sept. 17, 1988.

He died May 7, 1991. Survivors include a son, William E. (Jane) Ellifrits, 'Barnegat, N.J.; two daughters, Sherry D. (Bill) Harweger, Salem, and Kathy (Tom) Abbott, Bloomington; 15 grandchildren; and several greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, two sons, a daughter, four brothers and three sisters.

She worked for several years at Stensel's Funeral Home, LeRoy, and was a member of LeRoy Christian Church for more than 30 years. Edgar McClister MACKINAW Edgar "Kilby" McClister, 88, of 512 E. Madison Mackinaw, died at 2:40 a.m. Thursday (April 26, 2001) at Morton Villa Nursing Center, Morton. His graveside service will be at 11 a.m.

Saturday in Mackinaw Township Cemetery, the Rev. Dan Powers officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Hansel Funeral Home, Mackinaw. Memorials may be made to the Mackinaw Rescue Squad.

Mr. McClister was born Jan. 3, 1913, at Lilly, a son of Jim and Ethel Folger McClister. He married Helen L. Mitchell on Dec.

The grandchildren are Sheree Moore Clow; Trevor Moore; Ryan and Jessica Moore; Kevin Owen; Doug and Donnie Robinson; and Tim, Tom and Troy Wells; and the stepgrandchildren are Jayme Bland and Jeff Owen. Mr. Moore was a 1936 graduate of Cullom High School, where he excelled in sports. He farmed most of his life, except for 11 years when he worked as a supervisor for a heating and airconditioning company on Air Force housing projects. He retired in 1983 from farming in rural Saunemin and raising cattle, which he really enjoyed. He was a member of Saunemin United Methodist Church, Pontiac Elks Lodge, Pontiac Moose Lodge and the Farm Bureau.

He loved to dance and play cards. We will always miss his smiling face. John T. O'Neil RUTLAND John T. "Jack" O'Neil, 84, of 305 W.

Market, Rutland, died at 1:10 a.m. Thursday (April 26, 2001) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. His Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rutland, with Father Sylvester Jesiolowski and Father John King officiating. Burial will be in Reilly Cemetery, Rutland.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Aimone-Froelich Memorial Home, Toluca, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Mr. O'Neil was born Aug.

26, 1999. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Sandvold and Thelma Mulcahy; and two brothers, Archibald and Weston O'Neil. Mr. O'Neil was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rutland and a member of Tall Oaks Country Club in Toluca.

He farmed in the Rutland area all his life. His charm and wit will be missed by all who knew him. Joseph P. Pearson CLINTON Joseph P. Pearson, 76, of Clinton died at 12:05 a.m.

Thursday (April 26, 2001) at his residence. His funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, Clinton, the Rev. Father Gordon Pillon officiating.

Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery, Wapella. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with a rosary recited at 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Mr.

Pearson was born April 15, 1925, in Houtzdale, a son of Edward and Katherine Galvin Pearson. He married Thelma Fraley on Dec. 10, 1949, in Buffalo, N.Y. She died July 13, 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Susan (Terry) Rasor and Annette (Kraig) McMath, both of Clinton; two sons, Joseph "Rick" (Lottie) Pearson, Breaux Bridge, and Gavin (Tamie) Pearson, Elmwood; one sister, Johanna Rihocki, Erie, two brothers, Edward Pearson, Kemp, Texas; and James Ernest Pearson, Mandan, N.D.; 10 grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.

Two brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death. Mr. Pearson was a retired in insurance salesman with Golden Rule Insurance Co. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Clinton, and Clinton Eagles Lodge.

He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Charles F. Powell MACKINAW Charles F. Powell, 82, of Sharon Health Care Elms, 3614 N. Rochelle, Peoria, formerly of Mackinaw and Pekin, died at 9:20 a.m.

Market Bloomington, died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday (April 25, 2001) at ASTA Care Center, Bloomington. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev. Allen L.

Steinbeck officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be for an hour before the service. Memorials may be made to the family. Mr.

Goetsch was born Dec. 11, 1923, at Bloomington, a son of Frantz and Esther Koepke Goetsch. He married Ruth Bamman on Nov. 17, 1946, at Washburn. She died Dec.

26, 1998. Survivors include two sons, Tim Goetsch and James Goetsch, both of Bloomington; three sisters, Carolyn Marvin and Marilyn Bier, both of Normal; and Joyce Huber, Decatur; and three brothers, Wilbur Goetsch, DeFuniak Springs, Eugene Goetsch, Sun Lakes, and Ivan Goetsch, Midland, Texas. He was preceded i in death by his parents. Mr. Goetsch was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a lifelong member of the VFW. He had been head of maintenance at District 87 schools for 15 years as well as being a self-employed electrician and carpenter. Later he was a salesman at the former Miller True Value store and then at Hundman Lumber. Survivors include three daughters, Marion (James) Smith, Normal; Gloria (Robert) Case, Clinton; and Nancy (John) Lanier, Bloomington; two sons, Anthony (Jaime) Wheeler, Cisne; and Stephen (Diana) Wheeler, Normal; two sisters, Anna Marie Ulbrich, Bloomington; and Antoinette McVey, Cleburne, Texas; and two brothers, Anthony (Jan) Capodice and Jack (Betty) Capodice, both of Bloomington. Wheeler was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Bloomington, and Illinois State Normal University. Vera was a member of Holy Trinity Church and its Altar and Rosary Society, and also the Retired Teachers Association. She was a charter member of the Human Relations Commission of Bloomington. She taught art for many years in Unit 5 schools and was past art coordinator for the district.

After she retired, she taught art for several years at Holy Trinity Grade School and taught classes at Normal Community High School and Illinois State University. She always made her own greeting cards, and was a well rest artist in the community. She was an avid gardener who had an uncanny way with plants. She could coax any flower to bloom and thrive. She received international fame when she painted local fire hydrants as patriotic figures in 1976 to celebrate our nation's bicentennial.

Her colorful personality and ready smile will be greatly missed. Doris J. York NORMAL Doris J. York, 78, of 1104 Pine Ridge Court, Normal, died at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday (April 25, 2001) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev. Roger David officiating. Burial will be in Chatsworth Cemetery, Chatsworth. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m.

York on Feb. 28, 1948, in Kentucky. He died April 15, 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria (Marty) Pickett, Normal; and a sister, Ramona Olson, Gibson City. Also surviving are two grandsons, Brian Pickett and Kenneth Pickett, both of Normal.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Mrs. York was a member of Normal Church of God, where she was very active in church activities. She had been an Avon representative and a Shaklee distributor for many years.
