Page Eight FOREST PARK REVIEW Thursday, April 28, I960 Pony League Tag Day May 7 The annual Tag Day for the Forest Park Pony League and Colt League will be Saturday, May 7, With the boys in their baseball suits soliciting funds throughout the Village. The drive this year is of extra importance as the boys and their adult leaders are hoping to secure enough money to build an announcers booth, behind the backstop on the diamond used by the Pony Leaguers, Colt Leaguers, Connie Mack group, Recreation Softball, and First Savings men and girls teams. The groups would all benefit by the efforts of the 13 to 16 year old youngsters drive. A house-to-house drive will be from 4 to 6 p.m. by the boys, with an adult leader walking with them on their shift.

Persons missed are urged to mail checks to Forest Park Pony Organization, Postofflce, Forest Park, 111. Pick Up Hams Holders of the few remaining certificates for free hams given away with candy eggs Easter week must be called for at either the Forest Park National Bank or First Savings not later than the end of this week. Hams will not be available after Saturday. Old Timers Club Members of the Bowman Dairy Old Timers club enjoyed dinner Monday at the Lake Shore club. Winners of the three grand prizes are June Orland, Irst prize, 2nd grade Garfleid school; Sandra Loyd, second prize, 5th grade, Grant-White; Deborah Fry, third prize, Betsy- Ross 2nd grade.

In addition to the three general prizes, winners by grades are as follows. First grade: Paul Puchino, St. Bernardme's school; Lori Herman, Betsy-Ross, and Bunny Lynn, St. John's school, and Danny Rose, Field-Stevenson, sharing the third first grade prize. Due to their being only three entries in the fifth grade, and 14 in the fourth gjade, the judges awarded five prizes in the fourth grade and only one in the fifth grade. 48 children entered eggs the contest, the largest number since the Egg True idea was started four years ago. The Kiwanis club has sponsored the contest each year. Coke Dance The Coke Dance, sponsored by the Scouts of Troop 108, will take place Saturday, 8 p.m., at Field gym. The event will be chaperoned by scout parents.

All students are invited. Art Starenkovic, MC, has arranged an evening of fun for all. Tickets at 50c each may be purchased at Wick Jewelers and Arnold Hobby Shop on Madison st. Four-Lakes Open House Fishing fun on Spring-fed lakes with top professional casters on hand to assist, will be offered local anglers April 30 and May 1 at the Four Lakes Fishing and Recreation Area. Located on Maple 400 yards west of Route 53 at Lisle, 111., this popular fishing and recreation area is celebrating its first birthday with a gala two- day affair.

There will be prizes, free balloons for the kids and a mammoth birthday cake served to visitors. Nationally-known professional anglers will give free casting and angling advice. The Four Lakes area consists of 40 acres of scenic spring-fed lakes surrounded by 35 acres of woods and grassland. Fifty picnic tables are located in shady spots along the water for family use. Iron of Prairie State will be in the East.

Dorothy Christiansen, Worthy Matron of Adelphi will be Guest of Honor. Cailie Gudge and Wilkes Gudge, Worthy Matron and Patron of Forest Park will be in the East in River Forest Chapter tonight. ar The Eastern Star will meet Monday, 8 p.m. at the VFW Hall.
