0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0 00 00 00 00 00 00 THE DAILY TELEGRAPH MONDAY, MARCH 13, 2006 TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS Inheriting a problem? Possessive Simunek and Juliet Aubrey in By Chris Riley Real Story with Fiona Bruce BBC 1, 7.30 pm A new series of current affairs reports opens with Bruce talking to people who have fallen victim to terror attacks while abroad on holiday. They explain why they feel let down, not only by the government, but also by their insurance companies. Beating Bird Flu: an Equinox Special Channel 4, 8.00 pm The Spanish flu of 1918 was, it is now known, a bird flu outbreak. And it is to that devastating mutation (the global death toll was some 50 million) that scientists have turned in a bid to prevent a similarly catastrophic H5N1 pandemic. This documentary follows the work of three of the world's leading flu experts in both Britain and America as they set about recreating, studying analysing the 1918 virus in a bid to learn what may yet prove vital lessons about its origins, genetic code and general pathology.

A Good Murder ITV 1, 9.00 pm Studly young Albanian Niko (Mirek Simunek) is a bit of a bad boy we know this because he's flirted with three separate women before the opening credits of this two-parter (concluding tomorrow) have finished. Just how bad is the intended hook of this piece, billed (fancifully) as a psychological thriller. It brings together Niko's world he's an illegal immigrant in debt to a Russian gangster and that of Kay (Juliet Aubrey), a quiet, thirtysomething artist living under the roof and thumb of her frail but domineering mother (Anna Massey). Those involved might have been better off addressing just how bad A Good Murder is, because it's a distinctly malodorous piece of television with such cliched characters and situations (Niko learns Kay will inherit the house if mum pops her bilious clogs) you may find yourself hoping everyone comes to a sticky end sooner rather than later. In fact, with its brooding hunk (Niko has cheekbones RADIO Radio 1 PM: MHz 7 00 a.m.

In its simplest form, a virus is an unwanted programme that enters your computer by stealth, slowing its operation, even robbing your bank account. It's every computer user's nightmare, especially for those of us at home without free IT help. Here's how professionals combat hackers and their virus spawn. The 2006 Radio Ballads Radio 2, 9.00 pm This splendid series reflects life in Britain today through a blend of speech and music but when its makers, John Leonard and John Tams, chose hunting as a theme they ran into an unexpected difficulty.
