24 Wednesday, May 29, 2002 THE DAILY TELEGRAPH Court Social Editorial 020-7538 6396 Advertising Court Circular PALACE OF HOLYROODHOUSE May 28th The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning arrived at Aberdeen Railway Station and were received by Her Majesty's LordLieutenant of the City of Aberdeen (Ms Margaret Smith, the Lord Provost) and the Rt Hon Jack McConnell, MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Executive). Her Majesty and His Royal Highness drove to Duthie Park, Aberdeen, were received by the Director of Arts and Recreation (Mr Brian Woodcock) and visited Our City" Jubilee Celebration. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards visited the Scottish Parliament, sitting at King's College, Aberdeen, and were received by the Rt Hon Sir David Steel, MSP (Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament) and the Chancellor, University of Aberdeen (the Lord Wilson of Tillyorn, KT). The Presiding Officer opened the Session of Parliament in the Chamber and Her Majesty was graciously pleased to reply. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently attended a Scottish Parliament in Elphinstone no Reception with Members of the Hall.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness this afternoon arrived at Dundee Station and were received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Dundee (Mr John Letford, the Lord Provost). The Queen later opened the Space, the new building for the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, Dundee, was received by the Principal (Mr lain Ovens) and toured the School, watching students performing dance and song. The Duke of Edinburgh opened Dundee University's Welcome Trust Biocentre, Dundee. Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received afterwards in Crichton Street, Dundee, with a Royal Salute. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently attended a Reception at City Chambers, Dundee, before walking across City Square and meeting representatives from youth organisations.

The Duke of Edinburgh this evening attended a Dinner at the New Club, 86 Princes Street, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Mr Eric Milligan, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost). The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning. ST JAMES'S PALACE May 28th The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum, this afternoon visited their headquarters and attended a Business and Conflict Prevention meeting, Cornwall Terrace, London NW1.
