LftoABONUSl BULLETIN: Mt«t Shortage ThreoNn* Beause of shortages resulting from Government-Imposed economic controls, you may find soma cuts of meat missing from store cases. During the freeze which was in effect from June 13 to July 18, fawners cut back production or delayed marketing some products because the ceiling price that processors or retailers could pay would not cover the farmers expenses. Many meat plant operations have been shut down because of supply and cost problems. The continued freeze on beef prices until September 12, has created a particularly bad short- term supply situation, which is beyond our control. Future supplies are unpredictable at this time. In the meantime, we will try to bring you as wide a variety at as reasonable a price as possible. Any retail price increases are the direct reflection of the increased cost of raw agricultural products only. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
