School Officials Set. For Parents Parley Parents and students desiring to make In high school courses for the approaching school year may meet with the high school and JANE BENANTO TO TAKE VEIL time, to extend sewer line connections from the curb to a point adjacent to a house discharge pipe, it was disclosed today by Falrfield's Sewer commission. Abner chairman of the commission, explained that cause of contract specifications, other contractors will not be permitted to make connections with the sewer line until after the sewerage system had been 'tested and accepted by the town. This probably will be next spring, Mr. Mitchell said.

Under terms of their contractors now installing street laterals must meet certain rigid infiltration tests, Mr. Mitchell said, "and thus any extensions to their own construction by others could contribute to test failure through no fault- of their own work." Tho Sewer commission took action to allow extension of the sewer lines from the curb into private property on recommendation of First Selectman DlmUl L. Inn is after a number of property in the Beach area sought permits for the Installation, Mr. Mitchell said. Selectman Klnnte, according to the commission, said such requests seemed logical because It might be less expensive for a property owner to have his work done while the surrounding ground is drained by the contractor In his street operation.

Mr. Mitchell said the commission requires the use of six-inch vitrified tile with bituminous joints, similar to the curb leaders, for use In installing the'house extensions. Arrangements for the extension must ba between the owner and the contractor and a permit must be obtained from the Sewer commission office, Mr. Mitchell said. Frank Daniels, town engineer, Is preparing specifications and regulations which will govern the work of contractors who are engaged to make house connections after the sewerage system has been tested and accepted by the town.

A check of the Sewer commis sion office today disclosed that nine residents had obtained permits for extension of sewer lines into their property. According to the permits, the work is being done by the Tlb- bctts Contracting company and the A.Julian company, two of the seven companies Installing the scwcr lines.
