THE KiPON RECORD Wednesdov January 28 1981 1 jp i fieietino PtfotliQ Celebiiate 35tk QAieddLng tKlm Jtalmgton Robefti QiCilcii Wcd oUoctesto Cfcuitck Cci6momj SOClALSCEnE adi) CbAistensen oMtfec Vftoege Qecite Qiows anuaiy 10tK Photo by Joe Rykert -j as Mr and Mrs Severino Polotti of Ripon celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on January 17 at Senior Center Building A dinner was given by the brothers and sisters of the couple A surprise visit by the nieces and Jiephews added to the occasion as they gave their best wishes Also attending was their son and daughter John and Rita Pilotti and Ken and Gloria Mears Mrs Johnston watched her daugh-2 vow exchange wearing a floor length burgundy floral chiffon over rose crepe featuring a ruffled V-neck and long full sleeves Mrs Ulrich seated wearing a long light rose silkV crepe gown which had a pleated a bodice high ruffled neckline and cuffs' on the long sleeves Both added corsages of white carnations and ruby red rosebuds A reception followed at the SOS Gub with a sit-down dinner The five- tiered white wedding cake topped fjj with special flowers was created by Paula Rocha of Livingston Guests danced to the music of Jimmy Lim-yf baugh's orchestra Out of town guests came from New York Texas Kansas Washington Los Angeles San Fran- cisco and the bay area for the wed---- ding Jp Special guests ft the wedding werejjf Mrs Gladys Ulrich and Mrs Oletha Twenty-eight candleabra and arrangements of white mums glads carnations and ferns enhanced the altar of First United Methodist Church for the January 3 vow exchange uniting Kim Charisse Johnston and Robert John Ulrich in marriage Pew bows of white and rose ribbons white mums and fern also enhanced the wedding setting Reverend Gary Grundman performed the double ring ceremony before 600 friends and relatives As the guests arrived at the church they were greeted at the steps by Scott Campbell and Gene Powell playing their bagpipes Soloists at the ceremony were Candy Chamberlain of Modesto who sang In Your Melanee Wyatt of Modesto who sang and Juliana Hitpas of New York City who sang "The Lord's An octette conducted by Dr Gary Unruh sang Trinita Bea Dennis Gark was' organist and Shirley Woodward pianist The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs George Johnston of Ripon and the benedict the son of Mr and Mrs Jack A Ulrich of Modesto The radiant bride was given in marriage by her father She wore a Mothers Circle Casserole Supper Feb 6th Next Friday night February 6 is the date for the annual Casserole Supper sponsored by the Christian School Mother's Grcle Serving will be from to 7:30 pm at the Ripon Community Center Come and enjoy some home cooked casseroles spaghetti and lasagna with salads and homemade pies A free will donation will be received Plan now to come for some good food and fellowship!
