A. Foley at Paris, 111. The government suggests timber owners take matter up with these companies before cutting the trees. Most of these firms prefer to buy In carload lots. A ear- load usually contains from 3 to thousand feet.

A sad eature is that another son, Hugh chenck, was also recently wounded France. The message was delayed In reacting Mrs. Schneck because It was first ddressed to her In Chicago. Mrs. Schenck lived in Chicago at the time er son enlisted In the army tWd that how she happened to be addressed here.

The message was then forwarded to her at at Maroa. ENLISTED A YEAR AGO. Harmel Schenok enlisted In the army not quite a year ago. He tried get In three times before ha was finally accepted. Hsrfnel lived In Maroa practically all his life and at church and school there.

He was widely known and liked In Maroa. Harmel has been in France for the past four months and has been oa the Ightlng line for some time. It Is un- lerstood that he engaged In a drive with the Yanks In the vicinity of Chateau Thierry on July 4 and there received his wound. HUGH IS RECOTERmQ.
