6:00 DINNER RECESS mother Adeline Tebow of Long Beach 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren Services and interment were private ELEANOR EVELYN HOPKINS Eleanor Evelyn Hopkins of La Quinta died in Indio on Aug 5 She was 87 years old Mrs Hopkins was born in Rock-ford 111 and was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist the Desert Viking Lodge Vasa Order of America and the La Quinta Senior Center Survivors include a daughter Marilyn Knecht of La Quinta a son Mark of Casper Wyo nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren Interment was private at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery Point Loma man Texas and Christoper Ryle of Weatherford Texas Dr Dean Miller of the Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church officiated at a service Aug 7 at the church Private interment with a family service was at Desert Memorial Park Cathedral City VIRGINIA MAY PASTY Virginia May Pasty of Palm Desert died July 30 at Rancho Mirage Healthcare Center She was 64 years old A native Calif ornian Mrs Pasty had lived in Palm Desert for 32 years She had been employed by Meg Firestone for 40 years Mrs Pasty is survived by her husband Ernest Pasty two daughters Robbie Weber of Palm Springs and Daralee Car hart of Cathedral City a son Scott Anderson of Newport Beach her MARY LYDIA JONES Mary Lydia Jones of Palm Desert died Aug 1 in Rancho Mirage She was 79 years old A native of Wisconsin Mrs Jones moved to the Coachella Valley in 1972 She had taught at Helix High School in the San Diego area She was a member of the Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church where her husband was Associate Pastor Mrs Jones taught Sunday School and bible study for the Women's Church Circle She was also a member of the Palm Desert Comunity Church Women's Association and the California Teachers Association Mrs Jones is survived by her husband Dr Elmer Jones a son Clarke of Palm Springs a daughter Barbara Jones Ryle of Weatherford Texas and two grandsons Jonathan Ryle of Sher Births Sanders
