Here is F. F. Woods of Wooster, Ohio, looking over a hen he suspects is a non-layer. First he looks over the head. Next he will examine the keel and pin bones to see if they are the right distance apart. If not, he can be reasonably sure this hen is not laying. John M. Bishop of Silver Lake, Indiana, has his eye on a cull. He knows that it won't poy to keep feeding her and let her take valuable feeder space away from laying birds. John is using a handy chicken hook made out of wire, which he keeps in the hen house for removing a cull or sickly-looking bird, This' poultryman is getting ready to sell culls. He picks them out when he sees them. START 'M RIGHT.
