On Sunday night the jail at Lis place was broken and three prisonors escaped. They were con fined iu the cell, and managed to break one of the large bars of iron, and tlnu got info the main part of the jail. The young man stabbed is a saloon keeper, and tho assault was entirely unprovoked.

His wounds are of a serious character and may prcve fatal. The attack upon the young woman was as the Italian said to put her evidence out of the way, after he thought he had killed the young man in her presence. The Italian escaped the city, and had Dot been arrested at last accounts. License or no license is the question in Greensboro now. Tho two town.
