Try Rita Martin's Robin Hood Wedding TCng -Rolls V4 CUB warm (net hot) water 1 Bkf. dry granular yeast (If cake yeast (1) is used, water should be lukewarm) CUB lukewarm milk 3 tbsp. sugar SOAK. •OUR. 1 tsp. salt 2'/2 to 3 CUBS sifted ROBIN HOOO All-Purpose Flour 2 tbsp. shortening 1 egg 1 tsp. grated orange rind yeast in U' cup warm (not hot) water 5 minutes, milk over sugar and salt in a bowl. Stir to dissolve. MAT IN ... 1 cup flour, shortening, egg, orange* rind and yeast mixture. ADO remaining (lour until dough leaves sides of bowl. Turn out onto lightly floured board. KNEAD .... until smooth, elastic, and no lunger sticky. Place in lightly greased bowl. Grease top of dough and cover with waxed paper. LITRISf a warm place (80-85 ) until doubled (1-1'i hours). ROll out 1/3 inch (hick on lightly floured board. Cut with iluured doughnut cutter. PLACE rolls on greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise until light (20-30 minutes). •AKE in moderately hot oven (400 ) 10-12 minutes. fROST .... while warm with a glaze made of \-> cup sifted confectioner's sugar, 1 tbsp. orange juice and 1 Up. grated orange rind. TXe, One, ffot/r Jbr //// Vbur FftOSTED SANDWICH LOAJ 1 £00 Filling.- 3 hard-cooked eggs % teaspoon prepared mustard V« cup mayonnaise Vi teaspoon salt Ham Filling .% cup chopped or ground cooked ham '/& cup finely chopped celery 2 tablespoons chopped dill pickle V* cup mayonnaise Cheese Filling: 1 (S-ounce) Jar pimiento cheese spread 2 tablespoons boiling water 1 medium tomato Olive Nut Filling: 1 (4-/4-ounce) Jar chopped ripe olives % cup Anely chopped nuts 4 tablespoons mayonnaise Bread: 1 large unsliced loaf Avocado Frosting; 2 medium avocados % cup mayonnaise % teaspoon salt £00 Filling: Chop eggs fine and mix with remaining ingredients. Ham Filling.- Mix all ingredients together. ' Cheese Filling: Turn out cheese and mix with water . to soften. Peel tomato and cut into thin slices. Olive Nut Filling: Blend all ingredients together. Trim crusts from bread, and cut lengthwise into 5 even slices. Spread bottom slice with olive-nut filling; top with 2nd slice. Spread with half of cheese filling, and cover with tomato slices, pressing down lightly into cheese.. Spread remaining cheese on next slice bread and press lightly cheese- side down into tomato-cheese layer. Spread on ham salad next; top with 4th slice bread. Spread egg salad on this and top with last slice bread. Wrap with waxed paper and cover with damp cloth. Chill several hours or overnight. Just before serving place on serving plate and frost top and sides with Avocado Frosting. Cut into slices. Avocado Frosting; Cut Avocado in halves and remove seed and skin.
