A catch or not a catch, that was the discussion after this play early in the fourth quarter. CU tight end Bob Niziolek (84) and Husker Jim Pillen (29) eye the pass (1) from Buffalo quarterback Jeff Knapple. The ball is obscured (2) as Niziolek and Pillen hit the turf and Ted Harvey (31) and Robert LaGarde (25) arrive on the scene. The ball pops loose (3) as both players tumble out of bounds. The officials appear to be explaining the call (4), which was incomplete at the Husker 2-yard line with 13:08 remaining and Nebraska protecting a 19-15 lead.

The Buff drive was snuffed out for good on the next play (5) when Dan Pensick (93) sacked Knapple for a 4-yard loss and forced a punt.
