Dunbar, Estacado Face 3-AAA Foes By DAVK 1UNIK1, Everything gets back to normal tonight after Die holiday weekend. AJ1 Hub City teams arc in action, Including two district tilts. Three home games are on tan Lubbock High hosts Palo Duro, Lubbock Christian entertains Soagnivcs and Christ The King hosts Plains. Coronado travels to Amarillo and Monterey goes to air. pa Estacado and Dunbar will be playing their wecond District 3- AAA game of the season as the Panthers meet Colorado City and Kstacado faces Lamesa.

Lubbock High is stiil having trouble in getting off Die ground, but did manage to cop seventh place hi the eight team Caprock tournament. The Westerners were shelled by Odessa Ectoi 87-70 in the first round and then lost a thriller to Coronado 45-43 in the second round. The top game in 5-AAAA matches Permian and Midland, two teams boasting 14-2 ledgers. Loop favorite Ector takes the night off from 2-AAA activity, hosting Crane in an afternoon battle.

Anton, the only 5-B squad with a wining record (10-1), travels to Spade. Spade holds the dubious distinction of owing the most losses 16 of any team on the South Plains. In 6-B, the top contest is at Pep. where the Buffaloes host Bula. Pep is currently 11-5 and 1-0 in league play and Bula is 11-3.

Another key game has Bledsoe (14-5) at Whiteface (310). Other outstanding games will be Monterey Pampa in a Class AAAA non-district outing. Snyder travels to Brownfield lor a crucial J-AAA game and the winner there will likely challenge Lamesa tor the loop crown. Snyder is 11-2 and Brownfield 10-5 on the year. In District 3-AA, the key games arc at Olton and Morton, The Mustangs, who have been slipping of late, host Dimmitt.

Olton is currently 12-4, 0-1 and Dimmitt is 15-3, 1-0. But perhaps the most important outing is at Morton where the Indians face Floydada, the team which lost to Dimmitt by a point in Dimmitt in the first league game. Morton is 14-4, 1-0 and Floydada is 14-1, 0-1. In 4-AA, Rails host Post the high-flying presently stand 13-3, 2-0 Post is 7-11, 1-1. Dunbar goes up against a team that was hot during non- district action. The Wolves, now 16-3, lost their loop opener to Lamcsa 97-52 and have won only two of their last five games.
