Chambers Street Next French Bomb Blast Scheduled for September PARIS (trPl) - The government-run French naUontl radio said today the next Wast in the country's nuclear test series may not come until September. the second explosion in the 1973 series at the Mururoa AtoU testing, grounds in the South Pacific dune Saturday and again stirred international protests. The French government again refused comment on its testing. But French radio quoted "observers" at the scene as saying they felt the. blast Saturday, which reportedly measured less than five kilotons, was the last until September. It did not identify the observers. Reaction elsewhere was swift and bitter. "The French government has rejected its clear legal and moral obligation to the world community," said acting Prime Minister Lance Barard of Australia. Prime Minister Norman Kirk of New Zealand said scientists detected increased radioactive fallout over the tiny Cook Islands and New Zealand itself. Kirk sakt he did not believe France "is impervious to the mounting tide of criticism that is finding expression every day in statements by governments protesting against these tests." Yacht Released Reports reaching Paris from Mururoa, located about 720 miles southeast of the island of Tahiti, said the American yacht Fri was released by French officials at Hao AtoU near the test site. Hie yacht is owned by David Moodie, 30, of Alstead Center, N.H., and Was one Of several vessels sailing near the site to protest the tests. French navy vessels towed the Fri from the TOnmile test zone around Mururoa before the first test July 22 and five of its crew were declared undesir ables and ordered to leave French Polynesia. The tests were carried out in defiance of the protests and a ruling by the International Court of Justice at The Hague, which'asked France to suspend the tests. But France, which did not sign the nuclear test ban treaty, replied that the tests are necessary to its national defense. Glabisky Puts in 32-Hour Work 'Day' MOSCOW (UPI) - Meet crane operator Glabisky, who worked 32 hours a day for three consecutive days while some of his colleagues were putting in a mere 24 hours a day. Officials applauded the dazzling pace in the Ulyanovsk central construction agency until Glabisky's performance came to light. Then officials decided to see if the output matched the work and payroll claims. It did not, the Communist party newspaper Pravda said Sunday. Crane operators Kuznestova, Astaview and Komarov logged 24 hours a day at the controls But it turned out they were loafing in comparison with Glabisky. Record-Setter • "The absolute record-setter was...Glabisky," Pravda said. "He managed to work 32 hours a day for three days in a row. Perhaps he arose eight hours before the day began?" The newspaper did; not elaborate, but presumably the hard-working .Glabisky turned in overtime slips that would haw had him working 32 hours a day. After looking at the. books, inspectors started timing construction operations. A bricklaying brigade started work one hour late, the newspaper said, and "by dint of strange circumstances, the smoking break took 35 minutes more than it should. When (the workmen) discovered there was no cement, they took off their gloves and smoked some more." Toasting On one construction site, Pravda said, the only thing workmen did was clean glasses and the only noise was the sound of toasting. "Apprentices," it said, "dashed to shops to get more vodka." Absenteeism ran high, the investigators reported. Carpenters, welders and assembly workers in one construction group were absent for 10 or 15 days while allegedly Co **** you'll buy Westinghouse Model RT194 WESTINGHOUSE REFRIGERATOR 19 CU.
