trumpet privately He began his professional career with local groups and toured around the country during the Big Band Era He copied arrangements for a while for the Glenn Miller Orchestra During the war years he moved to Nashville Tn to play in the WSM Orchestra on the nationally broadcast radio program Down South" He remained with WSM played in dance bands and developed into a top arranger in the growing record industry in Nashville As a long time member of ASCAP he wrote arranged and played in many recording sessions for diverse artists such as Connie Francis Brenda Lee Floyd Cramer Patsy to the electrical Rockco said was always helpful and always on calL He had a great sense of humor He could be down and out but he always told you be any Lamey who devoted much of his life to both industrial and civic duties served as president of the Biloxi Electrical Board for more than 20 years and was active in the Mississippi chapter of the International Association of Electrical
