Urging consideration of the offer, Switzler said that the Heinrich property is the only available tract of land left in the city suitable for park purposes, a fact that has been recognized by the chamber, hence its recommendations to the council.

"Smilin' Thru," and Realizing the difficulty of selecting a play that will appeal to everybody. the players have endeavored to select plays that could appeal to first one type and then to another. This time, however, they think they have found one of those rare plays that appeal to everybody. It will appeal to lovers of good drama because it was written by a great dramatist, Oliver Goldsmith.

It Is a classic, a piay that has stood the test of time ever since 1773, when it was first presented. However, it will not only appeal to lovers of great drama, but 'it will appeal to all who love a good laugh, because it is one big laugh from beginning to end. Sometimes the present generation finds that the things which made people laugh a century and a half ago are not at all funny now; but this play is Just as capable of producing a hearty laugh now as it was that long ago. With very few exceptions no other English comedy has approached It in lasting popularity. The lively, farcical Incidents and the eccentric char- acters are unforgettably funny.

The quaint costumes will give added charm to the production, as will, of course, the quaint settings. The residents of this community have indeed a real treat In store the last week of this month.
