World-Herald quoted Frazier's mother Priscilla Frazier as saying her son was undergoing tests to determine if another blood clot had formed in his right leg Frazier was admitted to Bryan on Monday for a sinus infection that worsened during a weekend autograph session Mrs Frazier said She called the hospitalization was a precaution Frazier the runner-up to Ohio State's Eddie George in last year's Heisman Trophy voting had blood-clot problems during his junior season Anticoagulant medication dissolved a clot behind his right knee but the clot later reformed Frazier missed seven games but returned to play in the 1995 Orange Bowl and lead Nebraska to the first of two consecutive national titles Scouts have projected Frazier as a defensive back but he has said he wants to play as a Trophy winner who went on to become a two-sport player in the pros died Tuesday in Columbus Ohio He was 66 Janowicz a single-wing halfback and defensive back at Ohio State played for the Pittsburgh Pirates in baseball and the Washington Redskins in football He won the Heisman in 1950 He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October of 1990 but continued to lead an active life "When I think of Vic I think of his tremendous competitive nature" said Archie Griffin another Ohio State Heisman winner who is now an associate athletics director at Ohio State "If you were around him in any type of competitive situation you couldn't help but be impressed by the way he competed That carried over in everything that he did including his battle with cancer He fought it to the very end" Brown takes Cardinals Lomas Brown one of the NFL's best offensive tackles during much of his 11-year career with the Detroit Lions has agreed to a three-year $9 million contract with the Arizona Cardinals Brown 32 an unrestricted free agent has been a Pro Bowl selection six straight years and was an All-Pro last season The Lions reportedly weren't willing to offer Brown as much as he will earn with the Cardinals a $3 million signing bonus and an average salary of $2 million per year Colts match offer for Cory art The $18 million offer extended to linebacker Quentin Cor-yatt by the Jacksonville Jaguars was matched Wednesday by the Indianapolis Colts "Quentin will be a Colt" said Bill Tobin the team's vice president and director of football operations "He is excited and so are we He is the total package in terms of stability work ethic character and ability" The Jaguars had signed Coryatt on Feb 21 to an offer worth $18 million for four years the largest contract offer to a linebacker
