Perhaps the religious leaders in the synagogue that Paul and his friends visited in Antioch lived in similar circumstances Maybe they like most of us longed for on the range where never is heard a James Black of Faith Tabernacle of Praise in Biloxi The black church operates a day-care center and a convenience store and has begun renovating blighted areas of Biloxi The radio station is part of a church goal to build black-owned businesses renovate blighted areas provide jobs for minority members and spread the gospel part of our overall Black said Gospel music traditional contemporary and rap broadcasts from 6 am until 7:30 pm The station also sponsors enough market to support the said Black who would not reveal the price the church paid for the station which was separated from the from the financially strapped FM station Black said his congregation wants to become more involved in the economic and spiritual development If this gospel radio station is financially successful Faith Tabernacle of Praise could take on other economic development projects in the community call-in programs and community service programs The station joins two other AM religious stations and one FM station: 1420 WIGG Wiggins 1580 WZ3J Pascagoula-Moss Point and 103 1 WOSM in Ocean Springs for a Saturday morning radio program involves those up to age 15 in the operation of the station The station hopes to involve people directly in its talk programs providing a link to the community not available from canned broadcasting Each week the station honors one community church which receives 15
