Tel. 842- 2112. 8 Montreal 12, 1973 Love is a red balloon The stage is empty except for a lonely trunk. Slowly the trunk opens. Bernard Haller steps out and begins talking to a little boy who isn't there.

From here his audience embarks on a joyful two-hour tour of Haller's madcap Gallic psyche. At one point Haller is a concert pianist murdering Clair de Lune with the air of a virtuoso in ecstasy while his thoughts wander from the inanity of his audience to his wife's terrible cuisine. Then he is wooing a red balloon, SO effectively that even his audience begins to feel the balloon's mysterious sex appeal. Mime, monologuist, artist Bernard Haller, in his unassuming way, has charmed audiences in Europe and the U.S., breaking the language barrier with his hands and the expressive inflexion of his voice.
